Buddie Marvelous
Had a wee peek at historical images on Google earth, and couldn't resist a look at the old ground. What a waste, lain derelict for around 8 years. Now apparently 132 new houses for rent will be constructed on the old site at a cost of £17 million. Affordable housing with families breathing new life into old Love street. BuddieinEK
Thanks for sharing Buddie.Sad photos which almost mirror the slow but steady decline of the club as a whole and the team in particular.Hopefully the regeneration will equally apply to both. Desperately Seeking Susans
I hope Renfrewshire Council acknowledge the historical and communal significance when naming the streets in the new development. Clunie Way Saints Close (again!) Fitzpatrick Gardens...

Eric Arthur Blair
Most definitely need something named after our cup winning captains, Bradford, Lapsley, Bone, Abercromby and Goodwin. Longest serving players, Wullie Telfer and Hugh Murray. Record goalscorers Dave McCrae and Dunky Walker. Our greatest ever player should also honoured, "Mr. St. Mirren" ,Tony Fitzpatrick. 10 streets...will there even be that many?

Be lucky if there is one street remotely connected to St MIrren. There's unlikely to be a majority of St MIrren supporters stay there so unlikely to be St Mirren names all over the place, IMO. There is a street just around the corner from my house named after Davy Lapsley. Lapsley Avenue just off Neilston Road.
