Cove Rangers will take on Spartans in the promotion playoffs to try to get into L2. Cove have walked the Highland League this season (3 games left, they have a GD of +107) while Fort William have less points than Brechin (3pts, GD -132, 5 games left).

Spartans won the league on the final day after a 0-0 draw with East Stirlingshire, while crucially East Kilbride missed out on a second straight title after losing 2-0 at Stirling University. Spartans won by 2Pts. Potential relegation for Hawick Royal Albert depending on if someone below wants promotion, after last year seen Edusport Academy replace Preston Athletic.

First leg takes place in Cove on the 28th April. For the second year running Cowdenbeath will have to defend their place against the non-league winner.

Scottish Fitba Situations Fir The Weekend

Premier League Top 6

Green Bigots can defeat Blue Bigots to seal the title at the weekend. Aberdeen can take advantage by beating a Hearts side destined for 6th. Hibs v Killie, Killie need a win to have any chance of making top 4.

Premier League Bottom 6

Big one is Accies v County. Accies win would leave County in the shite. 'Well v Dundee, Fakes v Partick, the home sides can seal mathematical safety, away sides desperate for points.

Championship

ST MIRREN - CHAMPIONS (of course)

Livingston are guaranteed 2nd and will feature in the 2nd playoff Round. Dundee United are guaranteed playoffs but home advantage (2nd leg) is not a done deal. These two meet at Tannadice. Dunfermline hold 4th above ICT and have a decent GD advantage, so a draw v Dumbarton would probably be enough, and Dumbarton's concern is the relegation playoff tbh. ICT need to win at M*rt*n. QOTS can pressure the Ton by beating relegated Brechin City, who have one final chance to win a league game this season.

League One

Tasty as f*ck. Raith Rovers lead Ayr United by 1pt as both relegated sides from last season aim to bounce back with the title. Ayr GD is miles better. Arbroath and Alloa are level for 3rd, but Red Litchies have a comfortably better GD. Playoffs guaranteed. Stranraer definite 5th. East Fife 1pt above New Airdrieonians in fight for 6th. Forfar definite 8th but safety is relief. Albion lead Queen's Park by 2Pts in the bid to claim relegation playoff spot instead of automatic relegation. Ayr v Albion is massive in both senses. Raith v Alloa, QP v Arbroath, a must win for the Spiders.

League Two

Also a final day title decider but a draw is enough for Montrose to wrap it up at home to Elgin. Peterhead must beat Edinburgh City to aim for top, GD is safely in their favour. Stirling v Stenhousemuir is 3rd v 4th. Clyde are within range but are 6GD off both sides. With Stenny 2Pts above Clyde's hopes are probably more on a Stirling win. Clyde play a Berwick side guaranteed 8th. Annan definite 7th, Edin City definite 9th. 6th likely for Elgin as the GD swing with Clyde would need to be hefty. Cowdenbeath have to defend their league place for the second season running.

Non-League

Cove Rangers v Spartans (1st leg). Spartans edge out last year's Lowland champs East Kilbride by 2Pts after Kilby lost their final match and Spartans managed a draw. Hawick Royal Albert bottom, unsure whether they will be relegated or not, depends on the replacement option's choice. Cove have walked this league, 12pts clear of Inverurie (Formartine United could still take 2nd and finish with an 11pt gap). Cove GD is a ridiculous +105. Last year's champions Buckie Thistle finish 7th. Fort William guaranteed bottom but have 3 games to improve on their 4pts.

Round-Up

Premier League

Hibs keep up the pressure on Aberdeen for the battle for 2nd after a 5-3 win over Killie. Killie destined for 5th now, Hearts 6th. Something about a bigot fest tomorrow. Pile of shite.

Massive win for Accies over County. RC are now 2Pts behind Partick, and Partick are 4 behind Accies and Dundee. 'Well and Fakes are mathematically safe and 6/9 pts clear of the others.

Championship

Super St Mirren - CHAMPIONS

Playoff Battle

Dunfermline Athletic v Dundee United. Winner plays Livingston, then next winner plays 11th PL side. The Pars sealed their place today after pumping Dumbarton 4-0, who had Craig Barr sent off after just 9 minutes. ICT pump M*rt*n 3-0 at Cappielow but miss out on playoffs by 2Pts. QOTS pip Ton to 6th. Falkirk 8th. Dumbarton in playoff, Brechin finish with a record of 0-4-32.

League One

Absolutely cracking finish to the season. Ayr United 2-0 Albion Rovers had massive implications for both clubs. Raith Rovers 0-0 Alloa Athletic meant party time at Somerset Park and an immediate return to the Championship for Ayr. Queen's Park 3-0 Arbroath meant QP have a chance of survival at the expense of Albion, who have been relegated. Alloa take 3rd by 1pt above Arbroath. Stranraer 5th, East Fife 6th, 1pt above New Airdrieonians in 7th. Forfar 8th.

Playoffs (Promotion)

Dumbarton v Arbroath

Alloa Athletic v Raith Rovers

League Two

An exciting last day here too. Half time looked favourable to Peterhead, but Montrose equalised on 50 and did enough to earn a 1-1 draw with Elgin and seal the title. Peterhead fought to the end against Edinburgh City and didn't let an 82nd minute equaliser stop them, finding a winner in the 90th minute. But the Mo win L2 by 1pt. Stirling and Stenhousemuir are in the playoffs after a 1-1 draw, while Clyde who were supposed to threaten them fell 2-1 to Berwick. Blair Henderson had Annan 2-0 up after just 4 minutes at relegation threatened Cowdenbeath, and no more goals were seen. Clyde finish 5th, 2Pts above Elgin in 6th, 2Pts above Annan in 7th. Berwick 8th, Edinburgh City 9th.

Playoffs (Promotion)

Queen's Park v Stenhousemuir

Peterhead v Stirling Albion

Non League Playoff

Cove Rangers 4-0 Spartans

Looks like the Highland League side will be taking on Cowdenbeath in the playoff for the L2 spot. Paul McManus netted a double, Eric Watson and Mitch Megginson scored the other goals.

Highland League Results

Formartine United 2-1 Wick Academy, Fort William 3-7 Turriff United, Strathspey Thistle 0-7 Brora Rangers.

Fortmartine United confirm an excellent 2nd place above Inverurie Loco Works. Fort William have 1 match left build on their 4pts and have now conceded 181 goals in 33 matches, an average of 5.48 goals a game.
