Anybuddie
Spoke to him in Braehead last week, says he’s really enjoying Saints and has moved through here so hopefully he will be here all season
Drew
Really liking this lad's attitude. Very good player, and clearly committed to the cause.
Guest TPAFKATS
Thought he was our best player on Saturday at against the Pars. Need to hope levein thinks he's got better already at tynecastle
Hambud
My favourite thing in that interview is the words he uses. He uses 'we' to discuss St Mirren and 'they' to discuss Hearts. Very small things that highlight to me how he feels about being part of our team.I remember Alex Rae and every interview he used the word 'they' when talking about our players. Good post, that part in bold always rankles with me, too. I remember seeing a Yogi Hughes interview last season when Raith were plummeting and he was talking about the players in a very detached way, too, almost as if he didn't even know their names. Little things like this are important.
Guest TPAFKATS
Given that Hertz have just set a new club record for successive clean sheets, hopefully this rules out any chances of them recalling Liam.
Anybuddie
Maybe they could make his move permanent, if they are so good defensively they surely don’t need him
FTOF
Will be with us for the rest of the season, "unless something dramatic happens" ,according to JR in Today's PDE.
Balmullo Bud
Good news. He's been excellent this season. Reads the game well and composed on the ball.

Mid Calder Saint
Indeed my son in law is a Jambo and is amazed we were able to get Liam on loan especially since I believe he has already had around forty appearances for Hearts first team and still so young. We are very fortunate to have him at Saints. MenstrieSaint
Another reason why teams should let their promising youngsters spend a season on loan with us
Anybuddie
On social media this morning that’s Hearts have recalled a lot of their loanees, thankfully Liam isn’t one of them!
kevo_smfc
Has the makings of a first-team pick for Hearts next season. His development with us whilst we are flying high has probably been considered, giving them a player back with an improvement to his game. southsidebud
Yep - another stand out player for us this year. It would be great to get him on a permanent deal but from what I'm reading above that seems very unlikely.
Anybuddie
Been a pleasure to watch this young man in a saints jersey this season. Spoke to him after the game and genuinely seems to have loved his time here. An underrated player who’s played a massive part in the success of the team. Thanks Liam hope to see you back next season. rabuddies
I think he's gone off the boil in the last 4 or 5 matches. Probably the thought of going back to working under Craig Levein, Mr Cheerful himself, that's been playing on his mind.
djchapsticks
See Liam Smith is being linked with a loan move to Ayr Utd. I'd be rather gutted to see a championship side taking on a right back who is both firmly within our price range and definitely good enough to improve our squad. Surely we've got to go for him if he's available. He's considerably better than what we've got.

Not sure I'd agree, he's good but probably on a par with Paul McGinn.

RB is a key problem position for us right now imo .

Not true Paul McGinn is coming on too his game you are being overly harsh. However as back up Liam would be a good option but don't think that's what he is looking for. Ayr are a club on the up that will be good for Liam.
