saintnextlifetime
Despite all the rhetoric , the U.K. is Germany's biggest trade partner and Germany runs Europe , so the Germans need us and need to reach an amicable agreement . Even if their pay off was £50 billion , in around 5 years we would recoup that because our annual tribute would stop . .and how would they enforce payment anyway , f**kem l don't understand why anyone who wants to live in a democracy would want to be part of the German European superstate , especially after what they did to Greece. . I am sure I wouldn't give a f**k for two reasons. Firstly we have too many universities engaging in useless research. Secondly, I don't work in further education. Personally I would like to see fewer universities and an increase in colleges. Edited November 11, 2017 by oaksoft

Bud the Baker
Damien Green resigns from the Cabinet, May went out on a limb to save her long time friend - did he lie to her or did they believe they could tough it out? Plenty more to follow on this story Quote Damian Green, one of Theresa May's closest allies, has resigned from the cabinet after an investigation found he breached the ministerial code. He quit after he was found to have made "inaccurate and misleading" statements about what he knew about claims pornography had been found on a computer in his Commons office in 2008. In his resignation letter, Mr Green apologised for his conduct. The prime minister said she was "extremely sad" at his exit.

FTOF
Lots of tory outrage about former police offers telling the truth. Says it all about the Tories really. What a joke of a party. I can't even take much enjoyment from their current self-inflicted meltdown, given that , as blindingly incompetent as they are, the future of Scotland is in their hands as they negotiate the terms the cluster f**k that is Brexit. Genuine question as I only know he was accused of viewing online porn. Was it more serious than this, sex craving wise as opposed to security breach seriousness? That's an easy counter argument to make as there will never be an accurate figure. That won't be the case when we leave. £50 billion is just the first financial instalment in a long line of knock on effects that will bring Scotland and the rest to its knees in my opinion. Of course, on the other hand, Xenophobes like Nigel Farage and Boris Johnson could be correct and we'll be a much improved nation. However, for those of us living in the real world.........
