Apparently , they have changed their minds on that one . It just looks like Amaz*n bought out the competition. .

Are you sure that's not the story from abou 10 years ago when they last tried to move into that building?

The only people killing the high street are those customers who choose to shop online. Amazon can't force you to buy from them.

That is the brutal truth.

The Google story is more concerning. They are not the only company tracking evey single thing you do. This is very well known and has been going on for years. Google is not a search engine company. They are a marketing and sales company and every one of us is the product.

Check out their terms and conditions. I particularly like the clause where they say they have the right to read all of your emails and that they can take anything you store on Google docs and use it for their own purposes free of royalties. You should be careful about storing any product design documentation up there.

Still, it's free software so that is OK right?

The good news is that they have agreed to stop tracking phones at the end of the month . Whether they actually do it remains to be seen. .

You are right about customers taking their business to Amazon but in this particular case it would seem they have bought the competition in order to pull down the shutters . .

Not sure what you mean by this as there is a Morrisons and a Sainsbury's within two minutes walk of the Wholefoods shop (if this is what you mean?).

None of the shops you mention are in same the ball park as Whole Foods , a bit like comparing St Mirren to Barcelona - both are very good outfits but one of them is a bit superior in every department . .
