Someone is due a doing.

I reckon tomorrow might be the day despite Dumbarton's stuffy approach. If we can make space in the middle and utilise the wings as we done in the 2nd half in particular on Tuesday night, I can see us knocking a few past them.

4-0, Saints.

4   v    0            would be my prediction too.    Stuffy - so what. We need to be ruthless against teams sitting 7th - especially when we have the best home record in the league and their away record is crap...

I think J & J will egg on a few of the guys to hit the target from any opportunity and we will try long-range, crosses and corners for headers, 1, 2s and every other trick in the book.

Bottom line is 3 points to keep every saints fan happy and take a win bonus - then the chance for a number of guys to add to their goal and/or clean sheet tally.

We really stood up to Livingstone and did not get flustered even when we were a goal behind - Dumbarton are no where near as good as them..

COYS - sent out a very clear message - Catch us if you can...

Whoah! Wait a minute. How reliable are these stats? According to the stats .....

Sun. 30 Jan 1994 : St Mirren 0 - 3 Dumbarton

.... [they then ran over to Dumbarton that night? ] ......

Sun. 30 Jan 1994 : Dumbarton 3 - 3 St.Mirren

Sat. 05 Feb 1994 : St Mirren  0 - 3 Dumbarton

Then there's Sat. 30 Jan 1993 when we played each other 4 times, home and away, on the one day.

Was that the day we had the Subbuteo league? :P

Although I think we'll win tomorrow, I don't see it being easy. I think Dumbarton are undefeated in 5 games , and they don't seem to lose by too many goals in the games they do lose .

A hopeful 3-1 Saints .

For the record, I agree that it won't be easy, but I think we have more than enough to convincingly defeat Dumbarton.

Whilst the likes of Aitken might have previously sussed out how to approach games against us, I reckon we can now, in turn, adapt to counteract that. We have the manager, and we have the players.

I would expect us now to deal effectively with Dumbarton. We have too much movement, too many footballers who love playing in amongst them, for them to keep us out. 4-0 or 4-1 home win. Get a tenner on each and you'll have a guid Saturday night.

Can you put the bet on for me and I'll meet you at St. Mirren entrance after the game for my winnings.

In fact you can keep an extra tenner on top of taking  your twenty back.

Sounds fair.

After a few Brewdogs in the Court Bar you will be increasing that score forecast to 5-2. Another hat trick for Gavin Reilly.

Unless I get pessimistic and go for the draw . The drink can do that to a man.

Well done you win the prize for being the only peron to spot the deliberate mistake. You can collect your prize from ........

Soccerbase only have accurate dates from about 97-98th or there abouts.
If you look back at the 50s or 60s all dates are jan 30th or something like that.

I'll go for a more optimistic 4-1 victory.

they will be stuffy but this time I believe we'll get an early goal which will settle us and get them on the back foot early doors.

Reilly, Smith, Morgan and Magennis
