Next Week ...... Dunfermline v Dundee UTD
Left St Mirren v Dundee united at 75 minutes to go to work, Peter Houston said on radio United had alot of away games coming up.

Had a look last week think they had Falkirk, Dunfermline and Inverness away with Brechin, Dumbarton and Morton at home still to rearrange Queen of the south away too.

FT 1-0

Job done three points. Got a bit nervy second half there, Ginger Ninja with a few decent saves to keep the score level. But we certainly deserved to win the game.

Quite the paddling United got, excellent weekend all round. Beat Dumbarton next week and...

Last day in Morro Jable, wee shower this morning so went fishing then a leisurely family lunch. Sun out by 2.00 so Jeff on the balcony for me and the boy while the good lady shopped . Turned into a Carlesberg day, truly believing now it's an open top bus season. Back to freezing Blighty tomorrow and really can't wait COYS

That was a great 3 point cos it was a very tough game. Both team missed a few chances to be fair. Pass marks to all Saints players. Great to see Magennis back to his best thought he was excellent today. But for me MOM was the superb Harry Davis strolled through the game. Every game is a cup final now. Coys.

Quite a few top performers today. We looked more like the free flowing team of last season. We played with a swagger for a lot of the game.  Stelios was getting forward a lot more, Magennis looked back to full form, Liam smith was outstanding never gets flustered. Reilly always a major threat with his pace, Davis and Baird hardly put a foot wrong, McGinn in the first half was outstanding, the leader we need and clinical passing and Morgan is just a joy to watch. Dribbling, nutmegging, left foot, right foot. I sure will miss watching him playing at Greenhill road.

Great day all round and that mob at tannidice may be starting to implode!

Baird and davis excellent , stelios and smith had good games too and mcgennis looking more like his old self.  Also thought mcginn had a decent 90 min but was a bit  worried that we absolutely dominated the first 45 as we did Tuesday but never killed the game game off. The decision making in the final third was a bit suspect that game should have finished by half time but great result .

Fantastic result today coupled with what happened at Falkirk. Heart stopping at times, particularly in second half, mainly due to failure to capitalise on opportunities in final third. Too few willing to shoot at times and over complicating the attacks. Mcginn faded and was wasteful at times but Davis and Baird were immense throughout. Well done Samson as well. Overall very pleasing to watch

Big Bairdy was terrific today, well done Jack.

We also played much better when McShane went off, looked more dangerous going forward. Don’t know if that’s down to the game opening up with ICT throwing more forward or not but definitely raises the question do we need both McGinn and McShane in the starting 11.

Sammy did well today, no outstanding saves of note but did everything right and great to get the clean sheet.

Cammy Smith continues to put in tremendous shifts week after week.

All in all a great day going 6 points clear.

That was more like the free flowing football of the latter part of last season, although failure to capitalise on our flair from midfield in the final third, meant that we were on the edge of our seats on some occasions during the second half.

I thought McGinn was also back to his creative best, bur having said that, I don't think we had any failures today in any department. Morgan was sublime and the defence were much more solid looking than of old.

Stunning result at Falkirk.

Life is good!
