It is not the worst from Tony... Just wait for him to say that next season we are going to top it by winning the Premiership..

Of course there are 2 chances of us doing that (FAT and NANE)

BUT being back where we belong and staying out of relegation and play off places are the minimum we must aim for

He does have a point about the Leicester comparision, they where in relegation trouble, finished strongly in the league and then won it the following season

There's a bit of a difference though with Leicester defeating financial giants while we would have been said to underachieve last season pre-January. I'd only be 100% sure Dundee United had a bigger budget than us this season, can't be sure about ICT/Falkirk/Pars.

Nothing wrong with talking the club up and Tony does it better than anyone.

Legend.

Tony loves the Club as much as anyone and isn't afraid to talk about it . Ross , Tony and GLS are really driving the Club forward . Maybe we can get into the top six , not many would have believed that Ross could get us back up to the Premiership after just one full season. .

ETA: We are on our way . .

Nothing wrong with Ambition.

It's easy to play the safety card.

Better to stand up and be counted.

Do we as supporters have the balls to risk getting egg on our faces or do we accept things as they have been as the "norm".

Fear of failure or Fear of Success.

Either can be debilitating.

Can anyone guarantee success...of course not. But that's no reason not to try.

Exactly. Imagine being scared of failing and being made fun of by fans of other clubs.

Every single player and member of staff including the board should be single-mindedly and obsessively focussed  on trying to win the Premiership next season.

If they are not then they should find another club because quite frankly what is the point of aiming for 6th or simple survival?

Whether our chances are high or low is irrelevant. Being afraid to fail is pathetic really. Being afraid of being seen to be ambitious is beneath contempt. People can laugh but Leicester proved that money is not the barrier to success. Attitude is.

If we fail, we fail but let's not hide behind excuses before a ball is kicked.

Amen to that.

He's already said that: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36559890

Disappointing to hear him say in the aftermath of our title triumph that we could only be top four in the Premiership. A surprising time for him to show such pessimism :whistle

This. Players and management should be taking every game as it comes, aiming for 3pts in each game. Leicester might not have set themselves the target of the title initially, but what they did was fight for every point and eventually it came to a point where they realised just how well they were doing. Burnley would be a solid example for this season in the EPL.

With the right attitude and approach to each game there's no reason we can't have a decent season.

(Although I'll be happy with survival for the first year )

Anyone with any brains would agree with that.

Obviously , as the season progressed then the target would have, quite rightly changed.

Can you imagine the players if the, then, manager had said at the start of the season we're going to win the league................he'd have "lost" the dressing room right there and then.

Nothing is impossible but plenty is improbable.

Tony Fitzpatrick is a credit to our club.  At every opportunity he talks the club up.  Something all who profess to love the Paisley club should endeavour to do.

In contrast look at the Craig Samson and Danny Mullen threads polluting this here forum.

Gawn yersel Tony, gawn yersel indeed.
