Never watched either cup final, did have updates on the score.

Scottish Cup final over at half time.

It'll be interesting, well, maybe that's too strong, faintly interesting, to see if Gerrard can tempt some players north of the border with limited resources, compared to Celtic.

Can he lift Rangers to be serious challengers................not really convinced.

With Aberdeen and Hibs looking comparatively strong along with a resurgent Kilmarnock, the top league will be a tough prospect for St Mirren.

Down south, City romped the league, United, IMO, very disappointing.

Spurs, flatter to deceive despite having Kane and Liverpool have performed well despite the glory in the Champions League.

It's been quite heartening that the "smaller" teams have done well, proving it's not all about money.

Both cup finals were a bit of an anti climax.

The Scottish final was over as a competition very early and the English final never really got out of 2nd gear.

It was a nice was to pass a Saturday evening although being in at work today isn't ideal. ha ha

I must add Jones is, overall, an awful defender for Manchester United.

Early booking for Thistle, I can see plenty more and possibly a red.

Brutal.

Looked live a dive by the Livy cheat. Flipped onto back as usual.

Harry Kane suggests England ‘can’ win the world cup.

Well, clearly possible, highly unlikely.

He says “anything less is not good enough”

I await them stepping down from international duty before the new season then, seeing as not winning will be admitting the obvious, they are failures.

Wonder how many will step down on that basis.

As you say, possible but I'd not stick any money on it.

It's becoming a bi annual event with them qualifying with ease then failing miserably.

Pity, they used to do reasonably well, on the slide, like Scotland, but no as mince. :D
