pozbaird
Dreadful news. He looked great a few days ago when presenting Arsene Wenger with a momento at Old Trafford. Fergie’s Furies was my era, too many memories created to go into them right now. Thoughts and prayers with him.
Cornwall_Saint
Good luck to Sir Alex, hopefully he pulls through. Hoping for "Fergie Time" in a different sense here.

bazil85
Thoughts go out to him and his family, really hope he comes through this. There's many greats in football management but there is only one greatest. Get well soon Sir Alex
pozbaird
I had a look at the main Liverpool fan forum, and to a man, they were saying ‘rivalry doesn’t matter here, hope he pulls through, a legend’ etc.

beyond our ken
We all hit the end of the road and while I hope he is here for years to come I suspect the man has few regrets and is aware of his mortality. I’ll never forget his contribution to the saints and will always be grateful. I only hope this ends the way he wants and no other way
southside saint
I seriously do not want to lower the tone but St Ricky, according to many, will be really upset as there are 3 threads running on the same subject and he's not startedany of them.....................yet? ha ha Seriously? DundeeBuddie
Too young to know his St Mirren team but my all time managerial hero. Please pull through. [emoji22]
djchapsticks
Alex Ferguson is one of those guys with that air of invincibility about him that you believe he'll be here forever. Hopefully he pulls through this. There's only one greatest ever and Fergie is that one when it comes to football managers.

pozbaird
As fans of a certain age, we knew the good times under Fergie, and the cloud under which he left. When it came time to do the Final Chapter book, we couldn’t imagine it without a contribution from Auld Grumpy Nuts. My mate Michael was charged with the responsibility of contacting Manchester United. He couldn’t have been more helpful. Immediately contributed to the book, and wished us well with it as he thought it was great fans were doing it for fans. As an aside, another absolute gent was Killie boss Stevie Clarke... and big Yogi. Fergie’s Furies - the very fact a name was coined for a team shows how good they were.
