faraway saint
Heard a lot of positive reviews about The Boys, different angle on the superhero TV series & movies. Superheroes are often as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians, and sometimes even as revered as gods. But that's when they're using their powers for good. What happens when the heroes go rogue and start abusing their powers? When it's the powerless against the super powerful, the Boys head out on a heroic quest to expose the truth about the Seven and Vought, the multibillion-dollar conglomerate that manages the superheroes and covers up their dirty secrets. Based on the comic book series of the same name.

BBC cost cutting does not allow them to buy a long enough extension lead to reach Paisley, surely a wee man of your Kaliber knowed that? faraway saint
Was watching The Chase yesterday, an ex "soodjier" was on, to be polite, was thick as mince, the Beast says to him, "You obviously weren't in the intelligence service" Cruel, but precise. It's on my list but have got far too much to catch up on just now to watch it. Have heard good things, though. If you're into this type of story it's brilliant. Well produced and written with adult/gory themes. Only 8 episodes, roll on series 2.

faraway saint
Started watching Stranger Things from the first series again. Had watched most of it a few years ago, never finished it. Under pressure from oldest granddaughter so back on it. Quality and a tad scary. faraway saint
BBC breakfast broadcasting from Westminster. The ever present protesters, who love to hear the sound of their own voice, making it quite difficult/amusing. Poor Dan, not liking it at all, said he's ok with free speech but not free megaphones. Might persevere but not sure I'll get to series 3.
