Seen this advertised today, looks a bit shite, but right up my street, a different twist on Santa movies....................................

A cross between Santa and Bruce Willis.

Watched this during the holiday period with my son.

Some films are so bad they're good, this wasn't one of them.

Mince....................................2/10

Just booked to go see the new Tom Hanks film on Sunday.

Looks like Hanks at his best.

If there's one movie you go to see this year make it this one.

Hanks, as he is in the majority of his films, was just class.

Supported by other excellent actors but the story was the real star.

Funny, heartwarming and sad.

I'd suggest you take a hankie.

I was taken to the cinema on Wednesday by a friend and I thought this was a simple story magnificently done.

It encompassed so many emotions and I have to admit that there were tears in my wyes a couple of times but that was outdone by the many laughs as I seen so many traits that I have.

Tom Hanks has made a few duffers but whe nhe's good he's very good and that covers him in this film.

Going to see this with the oldest granddaughter on Tuesday.

A good story about a strong woman, not for the racists amongst us.

Fairly predictable storyline but, nonetheless, quite harrowing that this happened in 1955.

The lead, played by a lady called Danielle Deadwyler, was the standout performance.

A good strong 8.5/10 from me.

Given recent threads on here has anyone watched this?

https://m.imdb.com/title/tt4972582/

It stars James McAvoy and gets a solid 7.3/10 on IMDB.

My bar on watching movies is 7.

Only 23 personalities, not a patch on Shull over the years.

Tick tock......................

I posted a review on the official Sonypictures.co.uk Facebook page and they asked if they could use my review in their global marketing campaign, I, obviously, said yes.

Lo and behold it's now on their official trailer. :thumbs2

No fee as yet but maybe Tom will get in touch to thank me.

This week's offerings, Bank of Dave, heartwarming truish story of setting up an independent bank in Burnley, really enjoyable pick me up sort of thing. Secondly, came across a documentary film called Wildcat, tough watch at times but if you are a cat lover you'll get the relationship between the lad and the Ocelot but my does it highlight the suffering some of our ex military personnel go through with mental health
