Can I get a lift in your free taxi?

It is not a competitive match.

It's a pre season training kickabout session.

You can't get a free taxi, but if you want a lift while I am off duty, you will not be charged.

Kickabout

Should be free entry.

It's a football match with professional footballers and the transportation costs that comes with this. And referees who need to be paid. It costs money to put the game on.  If you don't want to pay to watch then don't.

Used to go to Abbotsinch decades ago to watch the players train.

There was no charge.

With no stewards, no referees and no opposition. Get real.

Go down to Ralston and watch them train. It's round the corner from you

Why not make it 22 quid for entry, just like for League Matches ?

Must have similar expenses for both types of events.

Seriously, the Club should be sucking up any expense.

Friendlies are training sessions and nothing more.

Have a bucket collection so fans, if they wish, can donate to the cause.

I donate plenty , so no more.

And that's your choice which should be respected. There are many who wish to see the new guys in action and see what kind of strategy the new manager employs.  I'm sure they will be happy to pay a few bob for the pleasure.

I can't make the Bolton game but will be attending any others organised. My choice.
