Let’s not be too judgemental on Bolton . They are a big club don’t you know. They can (not) afford to sign players on £25000 a week . emoji23.pngWe are just wee St.mirren and can only dream what it must be like to be able to ( not) afford these highly paid players .

Are Bolton related to sevco?

Annan were due to play Saints in a game at Gartscube tomorrow. I assumed it would be our under-17s or 20s that played as we were meant to be facing Bolton but I imagine the first team will take it instead.

Not ideal, especially for the fans, but better than nothing.

Should you not be over on P+B slagging off BAWA?

If I GS I would be looking to sue this mickey mouse English club. Does this mean our 1st game of the season will be a league cup tie. I agree with Stevie Clarke this Betfred cup group games in mid July are a joke and making Scottish football the usual laughing stock.

They haven't got any money.

We should bill these barstewards for expenses incurred. Even though they would likely just write an IOU on a beer mat, it’s the principle - bill the fcukers.

I wonder if any Bolton fans decided to come up for this and make a weekend of it by staying in Glasgow.

Maybe Sir Fitzy should call Neil Doncaster and see if he can whip up some Northern Irish, Welsh, or lower league English no-marks to turn up and at least give us a run out.

Who covers the cost of printed tickets etc?

Who covers the cost of my pre-paid Scot-Rail Ticket. £20 quid down the drain which they won't refund because they haven't cancelled any of the six trains my return journey would involve.  Feck and I only saved about two quid buying it in advance.  That's about another 10 ticket gambles on journeys just to break even.  Better odds on Paddy Power or one of their associates. Pity they don't do trains and hotels.

When going to matches, advance planning  is fecking  useless.

If it's not TV  that's fecking up fixtures, it's internationals or  last minute  cancellations by officials who seem to think they can change a fixture with one weeks notice  and now  some overpaid players who want to watch the England game have gone on strike. Arrghhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not even the first game of the season and the fans have been fecked over already.

Send Bolton a photocopy of your train ticket and ask for the cost to be reimbursed. Don't let the bastards away with it.

Pinged off an email with copy of booking. I see twitter is full of Bolton fans moaning about hotel and travel plans too. I won't hold my breath but reimbursement request has been sent.

Any Bolton fans up are the guys who, like some of us, travel everywhere to be with like minded football lovers.

We should welcome them to our town.

(I live in Glasgow )

We have Sma Shot today. I'm sure that is a good alternative to the game :)

Bolton has a history of the cotton industry.

They will understand Sma Shot Day.

Their local man Samuel Crompton   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samuel_Crompton

Crompton invented the spinning mule   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spinning_mule

Excellent wee movie of a working spinning mule.

They were still in operation in the early 70s at the Anchor Mills.
