Not sure it was a dive. He was fouled by a shove from behind whilst running into the box and stayed on his feet, then slipped on his arse at the tackle.

He then clearly was claiming for the first one as he was doing a shove motion to the linesman.

He has dived twice other than that.

Billy Reid turned down Swansea City to concentrate on unfinished business at Hamilton and McInnes knocked back Sunderland and Rangers last season but I am sure both clubs offered him substantially more cash than he is on at Aberdeen.

Fair enough.

In other words, Reid nearly blew his chance of the big time. Luckily for him he linked up with Graham Potter and they had that cracking year at Ostersunds. Still, Reid may have thrived from taking the Swansea job as his own and be further ahead in his career. Realistically, his only chance of an EPL job would be as a direct replacement for Potter.

McInnes is in a different situation at Aberdeen. They've finished above Sevco every time so far so if anything it's a step down to a club who are once again screwing themselves financially. Not to mention the Sevvies expect to compete with Celtic which just won't happen. With the Dons regularly making Europe too, it's a more attractive proposition than Sunderland sitting bottom of EPL/CH under the old ownership. On the other hand, we've just been promoted from the Championship. We are unlikely to challenge for the top 3, and will be hard pressed to make Europe. Sunderland now have new ownership, a great chance to seal a league title and the fanbase and size to return to the EPL. It's a more attractive opportunity now than the old Sunderland that approached McInnes, where relegation would have likely seen him sacked before long. At this point relegation shouldn't be a threat to Sunderland.
