Don’t think anyone is doing any such thing. Just a bunch of folk commenting on the performance of both individual players and the team as a whole in tonight’s game. Which I’m pretty sure is the purpose of this thread.

I think it is perfectly acceptable for people to register concerns that some of our new signings in particular were made to look poor by a non league team.

I don’t think that qualifies as hysterical.

Oh, FFS, stop being so pompous<_<

And incidentally, histrionic is different from hysterical.  Look it up if you don't believe me.

Absolutely disgraceful performance. Embarrassment is not enough for this display. Not one new player played well. Sammy place is in no danger. Heaton we paid 75.000 grand for. Think we might have been done. Half the 2nd half we played in the dark as for whatever reason the Flood lights were not switched on at half time. Then the tannoy went wonky. All in all not a good night. And if Gary Mackenzie is not better than we saw at center half tonight then were in trouble. Plus Stubbs never got off his seat all night. Shocking

Coulson did well again.

Calm down don’t over react like you did at this stage last year.

Reilly is never the answer lol turns out he was the answer

Ooft - that was stinking. Not too bothered, and some of the reaction on here is a bit histrionic, but it really was very poor.
A couple of the new guys looked out their depth tonight - against Spartans! Dearie me....
A pub team. Aye just forget it it's ok. That attitude never worked under a certain Mr Rae. This wasn't a pre season friendly.

Personally don’t think there is over reaction here but we were playing part time amateurs

They still aren't amateurs, no matter how many times you say it.

However, we are playing an amateur team next week who actually play in a higher league than Spartans.

0-0 with a top 6 finish team from last season

2-2 with a non league team

got more points than them at the end up

job done..... ish

our whole season is going to be like that...ups and downs....... great expectations and massive disappointments

get use to it...its going to be a long season

enjoy

It's acceptable to say that the new guys didn't cover themselves in glory at all. But then neither did Paul McGinn, Jack Baird, Ryan Flynn, Ian McShane or even Cammy Smith who was as bad as I've ever seen him. Everyone was shite tonight.

Put it down as an experience and Lesson learned. It's still a learning curve but it's obviously unacceptable that we haven't won.

Stubbs spent the last twenty minutes standing on the touch line.

Did you have a tall c**t in front of you?

Yeah, a lot of players off the pace but not going to be overly critical as it’s was the first competitive 90 mins of the season for some.

McGinn gave us some much needed intensity and upped the pace. Think there could be something in a Mullen & Stewart partnership, had plenty of movement and some decent chances.

big Cooke reminded me of Allan Russell. No wanting to put his head in where it hurts...
