4 told they can leave

WTF are you on, I have no personal agenda against Alan Stubbs whatsoever. I want him to prove me 100% wrong and very much hope he does. So far he hasn't and I don't think he will. More than willing to give him time and he very much needs it. I realise the task of taking over from Ross and the reshaping of the team. I just don't think he is the man to do it.

No personal agenda then stop scraping the barrel for any sort of ammo to slate him and ignoring or playing down anything decent he’s done before.

I just sense the need for some controls to be put in place, there’s an old saying “don’t wash your dirty linen in public”. Of course these ‘issues’ get magnified if the team appears not to be doing well, a couple of signings with a few good results and everything will be rosy again......I hope!!
I'm sure Fitzy said something about players using social media a couple of years ago when some not very good players were talking about the OF.

Obviously Ecko won't mind if he's been told to go unless he gets hit in the pocket ie a fine.

What do you expect him to say ? The manager’s a wahoo ?

Magennis has really gone out of his way to tell porkies there then hasn't he? Not just lying about liking Stubbs but also how good training is and how team spirit is developing.

Perhaps he also lives in that imaginary world of yours where Gary MacKenzie had to be "escorted off the premises"? Was it Kyle that huckled Gary out onto Greenhill Road last Tuesday?

Missed my point entirely. A lot of managers fail at one club but succeed at others. Tommy Craig was a shambolic decision by the old board.  Lennon flopped at Bolton but has succeeded at Hibs (forget Celtic as a blind cat could succeed with the purse they had), McInnes bombed at Bristol City but has succeeded at Sheep.  There is no guarantee that any manager selection will succeed - particularly at a provincial club such as ours with budget constraints and low wages.  Time will tell if AS is a good manager or not and let's not forget Jackson and Rice's role in supporting him. Finally, I also think some of the criticism arising from Spartans and QP games should be levied at the players who irrespective of match fitness should be good enough to win those games.

No he didnt, he initially did a fantastic job at Bolton then club folded financially. Players not getting paid etc. Lennon is a quality coach who could easily manage at top level Championship. I remember Brendan Rodgers mentioning how he thought Lennon was a good fit for Everton when Moyes left !

Lennon will manage again at top level after Hibs if his mental health is not an issue.

That’s not all his imaginary friend has told him seemingly one of our main players is a very unhappy bunny and is desperate for January to come so he can sign a pre contract agreement with someone.

4 wins out of 37 and left with them 11 points adrift.  Aye right.  I am aware of the financial problems he had to bear but fantastic job?

He didn’t. Went to watch Bolton a few times when he was manager as I’m often staying in the hotel at the stadium.

They were brutal! Remember one Tuesday night when they got beat off of Birmingham...I no been back since!

He did an excellant job initially getting them close to play off from near relegation. Next season was a shambles due to all kinds of financial mismanagement at the club. Neil Lennon is a damn good football manager and coach.

As you obviously feel this is a clusterfeck of an appointment- Why don't you boycott the games ( and this forum preferably) until Stubbs gets sacked . Or as we have the guy for at least 18 months start looking to his positives, as in - Hibs first ever cup success in 114 years, winning far more games than he lost. As for Rotherham- Eh- What about McInnes at Bristol- Hardly impacted his ability did it................. you have to lose to learn, if you don't learn you lose- so lets see eh

Stubbs can be applauded for the side he put together, the style of football at Hibs, winning the Scottish Cup in his second season and having a few other cup runs as well.  Can you imagine the kind of budget he had with Mark Oxley in goals, the following defenders to choose from David Gray, Paul Hanlon, Liam Fontaine, Keith Watson, Lewis Stevenson, Darren McGregor, Callum Booth and Marvin Bartley. Midfield options included Scott Robertson, Liam Craig, Frazer Fyvie, Scott Allan, Dylan McGeoch, Sam Stanton, Liam Henderson, John McGinn and Kevin Thomson. Upfront a selection from Jason Cummings, Dominique Malonga, Martin Boyle, Farid El Alagui, Islam Feruz, Anthony Stokes and James Keatings. Two seasons in a row, with that type of squad he failed to make the promotion play off final. But hey, he won more games than he lost.

So 4 wins from 37 and yet Lennon is an excellent manager.

But Finishing above Rangers and winning the Scottish Cup is woeful from Stubbs.

Come on, you have to see how ridiculous you are being.

Could be worse. I could be like you and have the mental resilience of a 2 year old.

Get some backbone and man up FFS. If we'd had people like you in 1939 we'd all have been speaking German by Christmas.

What's that got to do with Stubbs being a clown btw ?

We drew those games and the Killie game too - 1 point for a draw and a further bonus point if you win the penalty shoot out.

I know, that doesn't change facts the team should be strong enough to win in 90 minutes (comfortably) against SP and Spartans

Good points - well made. Yes he wont have that budget. However he does clearly have an eye for talent. And we are not in Hibs league financially.....

Can you back up the eye for talent claim with examples?
Not saying you are wrong, btw

You obviously have a high regard for Stubbs but I'll stick with my view that Alan Stubbs couldn't lace Neil Lennon's boots.

Can't say I rated Neil Lennon as a manager until last season. The treble was there for the taking with Celtic and he couldn't manage it with Sevco fannying about in the lower leagues (we can take credit for ruining one of those trebles). Same goes for Deila, treble should have been a piece of piss.

Bolton was a tough ask (like Stubbs at Rotherham), and Lennon was shite there. Getting Hibs promoted was no surprise, what impressed me was how quickly they found themselves back up the top end of the SPL table and pushing Aberdeen and Sevco close. I know Hibs are a Top 5 budget side, but the transition from Championship to Premiership was excellent. I do think Lennon is overhyped, Hibs is the first club he seems to be achieving better than expected.
