shull
Aye, let's get beaten in a Cup Final. Forfuxsake. Just win the fecking thing.
Soctty
For me, finishing in the top 6 would be a successful season. That's not to say that anything below that is a failure - there's a sliding scale. Winning a cup would be a riproaring success, and winning the league is the stuff of total fantasy. So in league terms, top 6 is success, 7th-9th is a decent season, 10th is too close for comfort, and 11th or 12th is failure.

No, we would consider that a miracle, as our colts don’t play in the League Cup.
santaponsasaint
10th or higher. Think we have to realistic. Finish 10th and try build on that any higher would be great and a bonus.
portmahomack saint
Top 4 finish, Scottish Cup win, league cup finalist at least, colts win challenge cup, under18s win BP youth cup, Woman team wins league, Knighthood for Tony Fitz, Shull voted onto board of directors and cuts season tickets to £10, Tom invades Greenock and ransack`s Cappielow then confiscates Roman Abramovich Yacht at Gourock pier, sails it up the river cart to Abercorn harbour and turns it into a river boat casino, creating extra revenue for the club, LPM starts a recruitment drive for SMISA taking membership up to a all time high of 3008. Give or take roughly would do for me

Get it sorted Stubbs / Jackson / Rice / MacPherson / Coulson / Torfason / Tottie Beck / Mo Camara / Atkinson. pondsman
At this stage we have brought in a new manager, assembled half of a new team and we haven't played a game yet, so it's impossible to say how things will go. Given all that, survival must be the first target. A Cup run would also be nice, but staying in the top league MUST be the aim for the season. I’m quite sure that the 4-1 win over Dundee United in 1977 is one of your most enjoyable moments and memories as a Saints fan.

Bring on the Motherwell.. Beating Dodo FC in 1972 at Ibrox 4-1 was highly thrilling, although losing 4-0 a week earlier was a cnut. Individual matches can be memorable, but even more so without a heartbreaking defeat in the later stages of a Tournament. Beating Stirling Albion in the league cup quarters in 1971 was exhilarating. Losing to Celtic in the Semi was my first of many St Mirren heartbreaks. As a 9 year old, I thought I would never have got over that crushing loss at Hampden that night. It would have been the Jags in the Final. Cup wins only please.
shull
Beating Motherwell in that great match in 2006. I thought we were going to win the Cup after drawing Gretna away in the Quarters. Fecking disaster.

That bizarre 6-3 match away to (Stenny) East Stirling where Mehmet netted 5 times. First time I'd been on terracing instead of seated. 2-0 in Ayr, a match which started getting a group of us to go to away matches together after seeing a couple of others we recognised from school. 2-1 in Killie, my birthday as it happened to be. We'd just been beaten in Aberdeen in the league, and thanks to a couple of unwell bastards on the supporters bus me and a mate of mine ended up unwell as f**k afterwards. When Killie levelled on 87mins we just looked at each other like "we can't take another half hour of this". When that 90th minute winner went in everyone around us was jumping about, the two of us could barely stand up. Great game for my birthday, shame about the illness! Pumping 'Well in the QF and then beating Hearts on the 'Well's swamp pitch thanks to super Billy Mehmet. Unfortunately the final was not to be. But I won't forget that cup run. I had moved away by the time 2013 came round.
