Worst Result In Our History

Last night's result was unprofessional, born of a Billy Big Baws attitude amongst the players who thought we just had to turn up and score 10 goals.

That is why we can compete with Killie but struggle against these smaller teams.

We had a different team (5 players IIRC) last night compared to the Killie game, part of our much disrupted pre-season preparations.

Respect for managing to shoehorn one of your obsessions into the thread! :clapping

Nope, we didnt come out on top.  All we got was an extra point.  if it was a win then it would have been a total of three

So it wasn't a draw or a win ?

What was it ?

Did we lose ?

told you already,  it was a draw.

The match duration is 90 minutes of play and the result is recorded as the total goals scored by either team.  if these are level then extra time is played (where specified in knockout competition's rules) and the result recorded is the total tally of goals at the end of 90 minutes or the end of extra time.

The penalty shoot-out is used to determine who moves to the next stage (or in the case of the Fred Flinstone cup, who gets the extra point).

How long have you all been reading match reports, reading wee red books or other records of the game?  They always list the final score with the result of the penalty shout out in brackets.

This is exactly what happened last night, go into any game with a half-baked attitude and this is the result you will get no

matter which team your playing..... But to say it's the worst result in our history....:lol::lol:...Get a grip FFS..

It ain't our worst ever result because we didny lose. And we won the shootout. We haveny covered ourselves in glory but at least we didny lose!

EAB mentions our defeat to Arnadale. We got pumped off Forfar in the 80s. I'm sure we got pumped off them 5-2 under Gus as well. 4th tier East Fife beat us at Love Street. We had that horror show v the fakes when we were 3-0 down at HT in the Scottish Cup even though we were a league above. At least we got ourselves back into yesterday's match.

I know it was away but still think the 7-0 disgrace against Raith Rovers was the worst. Jimmy Bone calling us cardboard cut outs.....................

Can't be a draw for us.

We got 2 points.

Spartans got a draw as they received 1 point.

We got a winning draw.

They got a draw for losers.

I hope this approach could be introduced into the league's.

1 Point for a draw.

2 Points for winning on penalties

3 Points for a win during 90 Minutes

0 Points for a loss during 90 minutes.

Its was a draw, however a winning draw not a losing one. But because we should have won and only drew we lost

Hope that clears it up:whistle

Now you are talking. I took my father in law to the game.  An East Fife supporter.  He was not impressed.  Miserable performance and result.

The pampers are well & truly out between this & the match thread pampers & nappy rash cream will sales will be on the up. Some it’ll be the ones not happy with Stubbs getting the job others coz after one bad game of a nothing pre season game, & that’s all it is because the hierarchy made the competition this way. Last night points out who’s up for the season & who’s not. We are in for a long season with some of our fans.
