I reckon this was one of our best ever draws , half the French national team and a condom salesman , who went on to beat a Hamburg team  five nil in Germany the following round

Condom salesman, took me a minute to work it out.

Not the greatest but a memorable one against a team with superb history in Europe. We should have beaten them that night.

0-0 St Etienne.

I remember this game well , Peter Weir was unplayable that night.  Frank McDougall missed umpteen chances principally from Peter Weir crosses. We definitely should have won this game. IRRC 2-0 to them in France.

Worst Saints Draw - August 1997 (2-2) vs Stirling Albion at Love St.

TFs second spell in charge. First home game of the season, big crowd & we go behind to P/T Stirling Albion but manage to equalize and then go 2-1 ahead. They have a player sent off and have to use their substitute keeper as an outfield player, so were effectively playing 912 men. We get a corner about 5 minutes from time from which they break up the park, their lone attacker gets to the box and waits for our defender to clatter into the back of him which he (Ben Smith?) duly does, they score from the penalty (prompting much booing and a walk-out of Saints fans) and hold out for the remaining few minutes to get a draw and those of us that stayed trudge out the stadium pretty much in silence. The season goes to pot and TF is eventually replaced in December by Tom Hendrie - but that’s another story.

PS - We went out of the CC that season to East Fife who were a division below us and also lost 5-1 at home to our aromatic cousins from Greenock. Any long term Saints fan will have a selection of favourite (sic) disasters!

After last night's supposed worst draw/result , what's been your most memorable draw?

Can think of quite a few but I'll start it rolling with this one.

Had a think and I agree, got to be this one (based on age as I wasn't around in the 'glory days').

Made so much sweeter in that I couldn't make the game and had to watch it on Sevco TV and the commentator said something along the lines of 'The seats are emptying as the Subway-Loyal have left as we see out this win...... St Mirren on the break, 1-1'.

HAHAHAHAHA

That was my first choice. Half the crowd left at half time and, as we were walking past the wee barrel,  a lad in a Saints' top asked the score. Needless to say he didn't believe us.

I was night shift the night before the game and slept in.It was 2-0 when I got to the turnstile and they scored a 3rd when I was at the top of the ramp.I nearly got knocked over in the rush to get our.

My mates stayed in the pub because I never turned up to go to the game. How I laughed at them when I got back to pub after the game.

My hazy old memory recalls a 3v3 at home to United probably around the Cluny era. Three down at ht then we had some sort of military display during the break before storming back to draw. Possibly around the time of the Maggie Faulds debacle attributed to Clunys sacking.

think I remember that , Mark Fulton rattled the crossbar at three each

Celtic in 9th position. How pleasing.

How is that even possible
