Well well well

We’ve had the heart ripped out of the Championship winning side

We’re less prepared than we’ve ever been

We have no strikers

We signed gimmick showbiz stats which distracted us

Those who spouted this shite for the past month should hang their heads in shame

Ah, but we're all St Mirren supporters and want the best for the team.....................

5470 attendance

How is that possible our website said we only had1600 tickets left in our ends which holds 6400 that's 4800 sold and Dundee sold over 1200 that's 6000 right there then you have walk up buying tickets.

Where to start ? Great result ! Danny Mullen showed he is a Premier League player. ! We rode our luck big time , first 20 mins of the 2nd half , Dundee should have scored on a few occasions , but didn't , then they fell out of the game and we eventually scored the winner ! Cammy Smith was great , the McGinns were excellent as was Coulson going forward. We need more quality for sure to survive , but big Stubbs said on the radio there that it's going to be a busy 27 days at the club . Hopefully , here we go !

That despite being so unprepared and having the heart ripped out of the Championship winning side! [emoji23]

I’m enjoying his feeling at the moment so I’ll keep this brief.

YOU are the one that keeps telling us we were a mid table championship team without Morgan so by taking him out and arguably the best defender in the league last year (who’s return coincided with the clean sheet run) the “heart” of the team surely has been removed? Can’t have it both ways.

Anyway, today was excellent and, as I said earlier, confidence and momentum are massive in sport so let’s see where this takes us.

Flynn showed great presence of mind to step away and pass to Mullen for the finish.

To be honest, I don't give two shits just now how we achieved it, that was a big, big result for us.

A few celebration refreshments tonight, I would suggest.

Billy positive post for a change. [emoji6][emoji23]I enjoyed the game it was tough but hey we took our chances they didn’t, agree first 15 min in 2nd they were on us. Next week will be hard but hopefully take a bit of confidence out of today’s game.

Very happy with that. Not always convincing but very gritty and determined. Mistakes like the Kpekawa/Samson for the penalty need cut out pretty quickly... although good save from the penalty king. Willock and Smith were standouts and Flynn had a bit of a game changing effect when he came on.

On to Ibrox it is... hopefully with an experienced striker and a pacey winger to bolster us!

ETA: Nearly forgot Danny Mullen - great for him to shut up his critics and prove he can cause a Premiership defence problems AND score a brace. Well Done Danny! Gavin who?

That was too close for comfort!

Pleased for Danny Mullen - 2 goals and was always a threat.

Stubbs was quoted as saying he was pleased with the "attitude" of the players - however there is certainly room for improvement in terms of performance.

There were no failures today but not many were playing to their optimum potential.

It looks increasingly likely that we will be going into the game on Saturday with the squad as it currently is.

If that's the case, it's time to put any frustration and wish lists to one side and fully get behind the matchday squad. I think we have enough to at least match Dundee.

Hoping for a good crowd for our flag day, and a spirited, committed performance for the 90 minutes. If we can win this, and Livingston get pumped at Celtic  Park, we'll be off to the ideal start.

2-1 Saints (Smith & Magennis).

5,973 in attendance.

COYS & SMTID!

Ach well, the scoreline was correct.

Can’t believe we’ve gone into the Premiership season with Mullen up front! [emoji85]

Worried a bit about the defence, Cole has glimpses but looks miles away from full fitness, could easily have dealt with that through ball but lazily left it for Samson and almost cost us!

Dundee will be gutted at getting nothing! Massive for us!

Imo it was Samson completely at fault there he should of came for it strait away but he came then stopped then came.

He more than made up for it though with the penalty save.
