Why's he no got a song

Recommended Posts

Just a thought but the new Voulez Vous epic about Jackie Baird, which I think is brilliant, got me thinking.

Why does Kyle Magennis  not have a song?

I did once hear a lone bud, in a bar up in Inverness, warbling something along the lines of

He's one of our own

he's  one of our own

He's Kyle Magennis

He's one of our own

But I don't think I've heard any Kyle Magennis songs on the terracing. Correct me if I'm wrong but WHY?

Oh he's no got a song

No he's no got a song

He's KYLE MCGENNIS
why's he no got a song.

Anyone care to rise to the challenge.

Magennis has one!

"We've got a diamond called Magennis

a buddie who comes from penilee

he plays behind a guy called danny

who said assist the goals for me....

and when he said to me, who you going to see? we said St Mirren FC"

Bit of a cop out that one. He gets a mention in a song that has been adapted from Craig Storrie and Rory Loy plus who knows before them.  While its a good song which I have hummed and sang the many versions with great vigour over the last few seasons Danny having recently replaced Reilly in line three. It's like a second or third hand song he has been landed with.

I assume the Voulez Vous chant does the rounds in different Guises at different grounds throughout the country for different players  BUT if it was adapted just for Bairdy then hats off to the North Bank.

A lot of people moan on here about Stubbsy this and Stubbsy that or The board aren't doing this or aren't doing that or they just Moan.

Well how about "What should the fans be doing?"  By all means steal a new chant from somewhere else or even better come up with an original one but let's give Kyle his OWN song not some rehashed Craig Storrie cast off.  With all the Musical Talent in the stands someone must be able to offer up something new.

Let's Show Kyle he is one of our own and we appreciate his efforts.

New Manager, New Team, New League,

New Songs

and one for Kyle

(Its what fans are for!)

:whistle:happyclapper:bounce2

Let's start a new Song for Kyle Campaign.

(HE'S ONE OF OUR OWN)

As far as I know the Bairdy one was a Bankhouse bus original. Motherwell have  already stole it, the b*st*rds

No doubt some new ones will appear after our first few away trips

Kyle Magennis the wonder boy

Brought up in the mean streets of Penilee

He would grow up to delight both you and me

For he plays for St Mirren FC

Chorus

To other teams he is a menace

Our very own Kyle Magennis

Who's that boy who makes us smile

Why it's Magennis, first name Kyle

The best in the division be a country mile

Chorus

To other teams he is a menace

Our very own Kyle Magennis

He has a cousin who plays the drums

Cousin on his Dads side or is it his mums?

Who cares they appear to be chums

Chorus

To other teams he is a menace

Our very own Kyle Magennis

I don't have one for Kyle, but I was thinking of one for wee Gowser as I watched him take a corner against us last week.

He's up the park,

He's down the park.

But he ain't allowed out

After dark

McGowan, Paul McGowan

I did have a tune at the time but can't remember it:(

Good effort, Bankhouse boys. Thats the kind of stuff I'm Talking about. Great wee Ditty.

AHA!

I burst into the Voulez Vous, Jackie Baird routine often without realising it.  I need to stop singing it in the Co-op.

:oohlala He's gonna stop you scoring goals

There’s only one Nicolai Brock-Madsen,

Only one Nicolai Brock-Madsen,

Get his name on yer’ back,

And it’ll cost a fair whack,

But you’ll be walking in a Madsen wonderland.

Hopefully it's the same fecking cable that feeds Dunbartonshire. :)

Magennis and Cammy Smith both need their own songs.

Cammy, Cammy, Cammy, Cammy, Cammy, Chameleon.

He comes and scores, he comes and scores.

He wears the strip of that of the famous saints.

Black, white and red, Black white and red.

(ideally the hard rock cover version)

Here's one for all you Gilbert & Sullivan fans - to the tune of HMS Pinafore

Let's give three cheers and one cheer more to Cole Kpekawa, number 24!  :headbang:whistle

Hardly ever scores an O-OG

So give three cheers and one cheer more to Cole Kpekawa, number 24!
