St Mirren Under 21's v Hamilton Accies Under 21's Challenge Cup

Recommended Posts

This was actually a very enjoyable match. Some good football played by both sides.  We have some good young players coming through. Some of them quite young so a distance away from first team but very promising. New manager was there. Hopefully impressed by what we have coming through.

Sutton Utd, Connah's Quay and Bohemians through already, could be joined by Sligo, Coleraine and TNS tonight.

Anyone fancy a wee "foreign" trip in the next round?

The Colts to draw Coleraine for a rather rapid homecoming for our new gaffer would be just the thing.

Mixed fare.  First goal was an excellent breakaway.  The Hamilton penalty was of the soft kind and their goal was of the FFS kind. Our penalty again from a breakaway. The sending of was a nonsense, second booking and both to me were soft. Played much better with ten men and well worth the the third goal. Boys tired towards the end and Hamilton came more into it. A little dissapointed in Hamilton, are they not usually top or there abouts in the development league? The looked very Hamilton. Well orgainised, cautious and not afraid to put it about.
