You have quite a lot learn about the criminilsation of football fans and abuses of authority by the police then.

Could there not possibly be a valid reason that some houses (are we talking 1, 3, 5, 27?)  have been searched?

I'm not taking sides here. I'm just saying that instead of assuming it's the police being arseholes, there "could" be valid reasons for it. Until real details actually come out about it, I won't judge it either way. Likewise with these rumours where Cammy (and S.McGinn) have been told they can go - I'll wait until the transfer window shuts, see what club they are it and if they take the pitch first match in September for us. Rumours can be dangerous.

So why insinuate that we deserve to be red flagged or trigger the interest of the police, if we’re not doing anything illegal?

I didnt say that either.

It's likely this is a crime prevention exercise based on a red flag being raised by someone.

Experience of what? Except being a complete fanny on here.

If your that sure they have broken the law and big enough to attempt to warn them then put your name to it like a man.
Otherwise pipe down and stop getting above yourself.

Where did I say they had broken the law?

FFS is nobody able to read tonight?

Police investigate crime though Ricky. Would they not have to show proper cause?

They also engage in a whole ton of crime prevention. That would involve following a tip off for example of someone doing something which might lead to a crime taking place. In those circumstances a quick word in the ear can scare a person or nudge them away from trouble.

I think a few of you are showing a complete misunderstanding of how policing works. They do not just jump in reactively when the law has been broken.

This is a good thing.

Now,  now.  Read it again.  Don't tell me you can't follow a simple sentence.
For St Lucy's benefit.... I don't drink.
It's clear that you have little knowledge and less interest in following the discussion.
No more comment from me on this....enough said already.
I'm not sure I see a simple sentence.

No comment other than to say again that I love what the guys in W7 are doing in the ground.

Oh you do like your conspiracy theories IOBS.

Let me put this in some context for you because unlike you, I am in a position to know a few things.

Every day there are billions of phone calls, texts and emails sent. Billions. There are not enough humans alive to be able to go throguh each and every one of them. The number of social media posts dwarves that. Dont even get me started on CCTV. You can barely even make out faces on CCTV never mind have some individual identify you personally.

So how do the authorities deal with all of this? They clearly cant watch everyone or everything. They use automation and look for red flags and only then do they start to close in on individuals. These W7 guys must have given them some cause for concern. One of them has posted something under or said something to trigger interest. In other words, any police interest in them is going to be self inflicted. Hence my advice. Whoever is doing stuff to alert the police need to f**king grown up and stop it. If they do, the 9am visits will disappear as though by magic.

So, I think you can rest easy.

Oaksoft you really need to catch up in the factual world you and your family live in today.  Did you have one of these computer monitor's like an old fashioned TV attached to a large box containing computer chips. I assume you have a smart phone today that is cm thick and a few inches long. That phone is more powerful than your old computer. Computers can do wonderful things today. If you want to open your mind in the world we live today have a read of the Guardian on line regarding Edward Snowdon. After that have a read of Julian Assange . Have a look online at the GCHQ building just for the sheer size. It contains computers the size of a sitting room.

I dont have a smartphone. No use for one.

I also dont need lessons on computers. I was a software design specialist for many years.

I have explained the basic problem about data collection. There are not enough people to analyse it. If you dont want to accept that it's your choice but I dont need educated on this stuff. Thanks anyway though.

As I wrote you should read about the names I gave you and why America want both on trial ,Snowdon can't even travel in the west now.

Things grow arms and legs so quickly on here. No ones house was searched. Not calling the police arseholes.

The main issue is that the police chapped someones door at 9am on a Friday morning, we're a bit disappointed that they couldn't just set up a meeting, rather than randomly chapping someones door. Would you like that to happen at your family home? Over the top and unneccesary

The police are clueless in their methods of policing Scottish football.

Everyone that was at Ibrox will have witnessed that first hand.

I think you will find that this was totally blown out of proportion from what I saw.  I am all for outing the Old Firm however nothing I saw was wrong.

Ok I’ll bite.

So what you’re insinuating is that people in W7 are part of some well hidden illegal activities and deserve to be disturbed at 9am?

No one is bullshitting about how innocent they are, no one has done anything wrong.

If we’d been involved in any issues previously I could maybe accept your dig - but please enlighten me, what exactly is the crime?

For clarity, a member of the groups house was visited , the police warned about “organised violence”, when was the last time our fans have got involved in anything like that? Certainly not in recent memory and anyone that’s stood with us at games would know that the group is nothing like that.

W7 is family friendly, lots of young fans waving flags, singing etc. Some of the banners might be on the edge of what’s acceptable, but that’s what makes it fun. Take fun away and you’ve officially ruined Scottish football.

Stop making out that there’s some deep rooted issue within our support. We have one of the most vocal supports in Scotland, but also one of the best behaved. It’s comments like yours that damage the clubs reputation when the media go seeking a story that isn’t actually there.

Disturbed at 9am? Were they all night shift workers?

You think talking about a young girl being hit by a bottle thrown from amongst the Rangers support is blowing things out of proportion?? Or because you never saw it then it never happened.........the bottle just missed my daughter and hit another young girl  one row behind and two seats away from us.

Maybe OK at home as I'm not near them but I move to steer clear of them at away games. I know they are just kids albeit some of them are a good bit older and need to grow up. The behaviour is juvenile and annoying rather than being threatening. Just like a lot of people on here.

I love being old and being able to criticise the young from my high moral ground.

I can't condone this at all - not even slightly - however I think tarring 50,000 Rangers Supporters with the same brush after the actions of 1 is unfair.

Why would a club be allowed to give out addresses of season ticket holders ffs. That's outrageous. I've been told they will be 'accompanying' the drum section to away games..an explanation from the club is in order I think..if you think it's justifiable, I guess you know more than me or you're a troll from another club

I am not agreeing what the club and the police have done but to spit the dummy out stating you wont be back if it is true is the act of a 5 year old.

As for me being a troll from an other club      :byebye

Not seen any Sevco 2012 fan saying sorry about the incident or vilifying the culprit.

They think we made it up.

Oldfellow. I already said on the Forum that I thought the banner at Ibrox was a  mistake.  Generally,  they have been good inside grounds wherever they have been and we're excellent up in Inverness in the final game there. I know they are being a bit juvenile. It's perhaps a different story outside the stadium and on public transport.  An away day is not an open invitation to be antisocial.  I was in Aberdeen and travelled by train.  The train staff were all for reporting a group to British Transport Police.  They were noisy,  language was bad and much drink was being taken.  They were however good humoured.  I persuaded the train staff that they would soon cool down which they did.  Ayr fans boarded at Dundee and briefly went through the same.before settling.  Both sets mixed well.  My advice would simply be to contain the noise inside the stadium and actsociably at all times.
