Oran does speak well and is an intelligent man, however I don't know why yous all think you are getting a brilliant manager, it's a different level for him now, tactically is he good enough etc, great man manager, I suppose time will tell but I wouldn't be getting to excited.

Aye.. your from Coleraine. More like Gock-Stain!

Gutted to lose Oran as our manager, gentleman and very mart man, I really hope he does well for your club,  group of us are wishing to come over and see him manage a game, how would we get some tickets.

I believe Oran took the boat over this morning, he took training last night and told the players he is taking the St Mirren job.

Always sad when you lose a good manager not that they come around often enough. Tickets are easy to get on match days. We have a members club at the stadium I'm sure a few of us can get you signed in for pre-match pint and give you guys a warm welcome. So keep in touch with the forum.

????????

No idea mate.

Cheers for the good words. I think the excitement comes from how similar Oran sounds to our previous manager who won the league for us last season - Jack Ross.

He was a promising young manager who apparently was a specialist in man management and tried to get his team to play good attacking football. All of this came to fruition and we had possibly the most enjoyable 18 months of supporting the Saints up until he left in the summer.

Heres hoping Oran does well. Also a wee pre season trip to Coleraine next summer would go down well too.

Many tanks, look it's like this, all clubs in NI are a stepping stone for people to move up, I wish him the best.    I assume if we went to a St Mirren game v Celtic of Rangers it would be hard ot get tickets.

Probably easier for those games. Decent people tend to avoid those games.

Indeed, IMO, all Saints fans should boycott those games.

With Oran given the weekend to sort his shit out,  brace yourselves for Dundee bagging McCann, and their CEO rowing over to Coleraine to gazump us..!

Back on ignore you go - was a fun few weeks until the negative, slightly paranoid and quite deluded posting started again...

For now, someone who doesn't tell his players they are shite and can string a sentence together will do.

Actually, there's 800 or so tickets left for what would be his first game in charge, at home to Celtic next Friday night, if you fancied it :thumbs2

It is being televised on BT Sport, though.

I'm not sure it's really all that big a step.  Plenty have come over in the past, some have worked out some not.  The main thing he needs to do is to motivate the team and get them working for each other.

To be reunited with Chris Brookmyre (Quite Ugly One Morning) ?

I saw that TV adaptation, I imagine if they were reunited Brookmyre would murder him, in the same way they murdered his book

Never saw it but I’m assuming Nesbit played Jack Parlabane which is a ridiculous notion. Did he put on a Scottish accent or did he play it as an Irishman?

Hope he's confirmed , was my choice last time round and think that this guy can be as successful if not more than Jack was. Think I will take a bit of time which he will no doubt be given , and if we are to go back down this season as long as we are doing it fighting that's fair enough we will come back , under Stubbs we would have went down with a whimper , there was absolutely nothing there , so welcome O.K :welcome

Irish, but he ended up dating the policewoman who had obviously had a sexuality transplant, instead of the woman he married in later books.
