magnus
I see that our new manager has been chatting to Jimmy Nicholl about management in Scotland. Could Jimmy Nicholl, currently coaching Northern Ireland, join the Saints coaching staff? Might be a good move but don't know where that would leave Brian Rice. RossCSmfc
Would hope that Rice is kept on in some capacity if this is going ahead. Think Nicholl would be a good addition.
Wilbur
Having just offloaded a "Celtic-minded" management do we really want to be appointing someone with a Rangers obsession ?? Can't we find anybody in coaching without OF baggage to haul around with them ??
Buddie-Boy
Jimmy Nicholl would be a good appointment.

munoz
Nicholl would surely keep the 'but Kearney hasn't any experience of the Scottish game ' people happy.

MenstrieSaint
Brilliant guy , who would do a great job for us along side the current coaching staff , to benefit all parties it would probably need to be a part time job to fit in with his Northern Ireland duties , a great guy to have about the club to try to help gel the club together again. I honestly couldn't give a shiny shite if they've past Rangers or Celtic links as long as they only have Saints on their mind while at our club. This obsession with the old firm does us no favours whatsoever.

Eric Arthur Blair
Brian Rice is at the Reserve game. Would rather he stayed on than us appointing Nicholl.

Aye, but.... actually i think bringing Nicholl in would be quite shrewd on Kearney and the board's part. Rice could major on fitness/training, with OK and Nicholl on formations and strategy. It appears OK know how to get the best use out of resources, so he could have a sweet holy trininty with those two. It would give him more thinking and planning space. djchapsticks
Don't see any issue with both Nicholl and Rice at the club. Teams in our situation really can't knock back guys with the experience and respect that Jimmy Nicholl has.
