Put that alongside the experience of Ferdinand then we might just be very hard to beat. OK has a philosophy of playing good attractive football. If the defence is strong and sound then the rest of the team can get on with winning the game. So Gus will be picking the team too? this will end in tears, acrimony and another spate of dressing room back stabbing. Its got clusterf**k written all over it. If he can translate those outcomes to his new duties that will do for me.

scrappy coco
I suppose with his managerial career on the slide and couple of lower division relegation's on his CV it make's him the perfect candidate for this job... I wonder if GS has got any other pals looking for a job...
Lord Pityme
There must be a terrible tragedy news story happening now somewhere in the world to justify the club committing self harm by trying to bury all these shit news/social media statements..? TediousTom
Can we expect to see Andy Millen come is as assistant technical director? What does a technical director do? How have we managed without one since 1877? With wee Gus's love of the movies shall we have overpriced but fresh(ish) popcorn being sold in the pie stall? Maboza
Welcome back Gus!! Let's hope it's the start of a successful journey with Oran positively managing the players, team and engaging with the fans & media, while Gus works hard in the background to support him and take the club forward. It's got an Alex Smith/Falkirk feel to it - which isn't that exciting. My hope is that his role is nothing to do with management or coaching as that's Oran's job. Hopefully, the TD job is to ensure we never get left in the lurch again when a manager leaves and to get a grip of how we scout new players including viewing all new players against what we are bringing through the academy. The scout that left mentioned a total lack of communication. Welcome back Gus. Be happy
