Controversy Tonight ?

What's is going to be ?

Brown committing around 20 bookable fouls and will eventually get one yellow card for dissent or summat else. No red card.

Us holding out for a decent draw then Christie, Forrest or another dives and gets a penalty.

Could be much more going against the good guys.

And this from a guy who recently started a "Paranoid Celtic at it again" thread. You clearly are impervious to irony Shull !!!

Dinnae think you quite understand paranoia.

Plenty evidence from the past in Scottish football to confirm my fears for tonight and for any match we play against Celtic or Sevco.

We shouldn’t be playing this game tonight.

The club should boycott all matches against the Old Firm.

As the game is going ahead, all Saints fans should be boycotting it.

Anyone who goes tonight is supporting sectarianism, hatred and cheating.

I'm going for the pies.

I'm guilty and ashamed. I should try harder.

Love to see the day the 40 diddy Clubs dispose of Celtic & Sevco.

So, the controversy amounted to the referee sending off a Celtic player, booking Scott Brown, ignoring a Jack Baird prolonged shirt-pull, turning a blind eye to Hodson maybe leaving a boot on Forrest, awarding St Mirren many free kicks, an assistant flagging a late Sellik winner offside, not awarding them a penalty, not even a dodgy free kick in a dangerous position...

I know, I can’t believe it either. Forty years I’ve watched us, forty years of ‘Nakamura free kicks’ or worse.

I’m still reeling. What spell did Oran’s magician weave on the officials?

Well Brown got his booking which as usual meant nothing.

It should have been his second yellow after a previous incident in which Dallas thought a talking to was sufficient.

What was Brown over mouthing at our bench for?

I thought the ref had a decent game. Ntcham made the 2 yellows the easiest ref decision we will see this season. Brown if he got 2 yellows would have been harsh. The linesmen i think called everything right. No real controversy i dont think.

Great result though. Chuffed for OK and glad the place was buzzing again.

It was uncanny last night. The truth of the matter is that if there were any dodgy decisions last night, then we were always on the right side of them. Mostly though it was just the very unusual sight of us getting the decisions we deserved and Celtic being penalised when they deserved to be. Very refreshing indeed.
