ARE WE READY FOR A SCRAP

Mate, I am an eternal optimist ..... Instead of drawing with 2 of the "weakest teams on papaer " we lost 5-0 ..... what this season has shown so far , and I state so far - is that we are out of our depth....

Dundee game- we easily could have been 2-1, 3-1 down, ok we also had chances but it wasnt exactly convincing

10 man Sevco and 10 Man Celtic- we didnt lay a glove on them 2 nd Halves

Hearts and Livi- lets be honest. 4-1 , 2-0 was kind to us............. both games over as a contest, and of course another thrashing at Dons....

If you look at Livi, they stay in games, or they scrap.........

Our next 2 games are Hibs and Dons......................... I really want to see us stay in games................ if we can get any points great but lets not be 2-0 at HT and game over.... after that we have Well, Fakes , Killie................... we need to make a mark ..................

I am really hoping that loads is being done behind the scenes to give us some structure. The injury list is not helping, but as per the tite of this thread.... I at least expect 100% from every player

This is a very good post.

Still think Jack leaving was the main reason for our demise. Eye was off ball when we recruited Stubbs................. but hey its still only September and we have 96 points to play for [emoji14]

Met Gordon Scott in a bar in Benidorm last night he said hopefully get players in on January. So looks like it’s going to be tough until then unless we get a bit of luck & goals.

Did you ask him if he had been feeling  100% the day he handed over everything to Mr Stubbs ?

Agree with this 100% - but probably for different reasons.

JR left us with an inadequate squad and he knew it.

JR's strength was in motivating and getting the best out of the players he had available.

We managed to win the Championship by 10 clear points with a squad which, with one or two exceptions, was clearly inferior to some of our competitors.

To succeed (ie survive) in the SPFL we have a lot of catching up to do.

Agree

It does have its similarities to 1999-00 Winners, in that we were not best prepared, Pars who went up with us, adapted far better the following season .

Hope its has a different outcome

The difference was pars signed our best player at that time(juinor mendes. That significantly weakened our team) to guarantee they stayed up. and that bought them a season to adapt to life in the top flight.

We can only hope oran can get the best out of the player's he has. Would like to see a few quality  free agent's sign. Hopefully a striker to partner danny Mullen he does a lot of great work sometimes hes the one delivering a quality pass into the box instead of receiving a quality pass.  Would like to see us with 2 upfront only if we can bring a good striker in.
