Injuries

Maybe OK is waiting to judge them until after they are fit and has seen them play - unlike Alan Stubbs who told them after a few days at La Manga and before we played Bolton in a glamour-friendly they would not be getting a regular game.

Why would you need to wait until injured injury prone players were fit before telling them that you were letting them go because they were injury prone?

And in the case of Eckersley, you do realise that Stubbs had previously managed him? Do you really think he would have needed to see him action before making a judgement?

Its a myth that just won't go away I'm afraid......

Who from last year's team did Stubbs get rid of (less than 1)?

Gavin Reilly, Ross Stewart (GK), Ross Stewart (striker), Myles Hippolyte were all moved on while Adam Eckersley, Gary MacKenzie, Cammy Smith were all under contract and told they were free to find other clubs. He didn't take Cammy McPherson or Jordan Kilpatrick to La Manga either which hints at how highly he rated them - OK seems to rate both more highly than most of Stubbs' signings.

LPM will no doubt reply saying Gavin Reilly wasn't Jack Ross's preferred striker even though he played in almost every game, and Ross Stewart didn't start many games as GK (imagine that for a back up goalie!)

Almost right in anticipating me.

Gavin Reilly left by his own accord (according to club & stubbs), neither Ross Stewarts were first team picks, Hippo came off the bench a couple of times.

Eckersley and Mac averaged 25% of games, were injured and unable to even train, and are still injured and still here. Can you guide us to the press release saying Cammy Smith was free to leave... as the rumour was he asked if he could go.

As far as i can see both McPherson and Kirkpatrick are still here meaning, in fact Stubbs got rid of absolutely none of last season's first team regulars. Thanks for your excruciating admission of this, some people on here believe Stubbzo got rid of

Samson

L Smith

Stelios

Baird

Davis

Eckersley

McGinn

Flynn

McShane

Magennis

C. smith

Reilly

Morgan

Mullen

etc... etc..

You really do enjoy warping what people say to fit your own agenda don't you.

Can you quote any posts anywhere on the forum which say that someone believed Alan Stubbs got rid of Lewis Morgan.

When we send players to a first team match, do we only send our starting XI to the game? Ross Stewart (GK) was in our first team throughout last season and would have been in the matchday squad for pretty much every first team game. Gavin Reilly appeared in almost every first team game last season, even if he was listed as a sub he was usually brought on.

Ross Stewart was second choice keeper. Hippolyte didn't start a meaningful match, Eck & Mac were both injury prone and have been injured all season, Cammy Smith wasn't told he could leave and has since been dropped by Kearney.

JR had Macpherson, Stewart (striker) & Kirkpatrick out on loan to other clubs. Stubbs started Kirkpatrick in his first competitive match against Killie and then got injured. Cammy Macpherson also started League Cup matches. Stewart (striker) got more starts under Stubbs than he did under JR. And he's hardly set the heather on fire since going to Ross County. Seems that Stubbs rated them both more highly than JR did.

Do you really think that the 2 Stewart's, Kirkpatrick, Hippolye & Macpherson would have been first team regulars this season under JR? Under JR, some 3 of them were so far removed from being first team regulars that they were papped out on loan while we were in the Championship!

Gavin Reilly obviously wasn't JR's first choice striker as he signed Danny Mullen and dropped Reilly to the bench.

Stubbs didn't get rid of a single first choice player from JR's side.

Several people have said that he dismantled last season's championship winning side.

As Morgan, Davis & Liam Smith all left and Eck & Mac are injured, that's 5 of the first choice starting 11, including the entire defence.

In short, we lost our best player and our entire defence!

Of the other 6, Samson, McGinn, Magennis, Mullen & Smith all featured regularly for Stubbs. Only Flynn was struggling to get a game under Stubbs.

Stubbs did not dismantle last season's championship winning side.

Not doubting Reilly our top scorer, but he decided to leave according to the club & stubbs. Stewart GK was not a first team regular, you actually confirm that fact. So Stubbs didnt get rid of any of last seasons title winning first team.

the other one that makes me laugh is people going beserk that in what were pre season games (league cup) we drew with Queens Park & Spartans. What they tend to overlook we also drew with high flying Kille, and humped Dumbarton six nil..!

Stubbs dug his own grave, but a casual reader on here could be forgiven for thinking he single handedly defilled every child in the burgh, such is the skew on his reign. The facts are we knew last season our team were no match for premiership opposition, and having lost Morgan, Davis and Reilly from a team that couldn't compete with them we ended up even further from the required standard. Its time to move on and support Oran, and every player at the club, who are now his players until such time as HE decides they're not.

again.. we wont win a single point bleating on about Stubbs, Ross, Rae... etc.. etc... Oran is the man.

Where?

Is that a guilty person trying to justify their actions?

In answer to your question, no.

As you say, he wasn't the best, so why tell untruths about where he went wrong?

As for your last line,

Defending Stubbs from untruths does not mean that I wish he was still in charge!

As for OK, his record so far is even worse than Stubbs!

Its all been a disaster!

clue: the answer is less than one.

Imagine your boss walking in and saying , you , AYE YOU ! Find a new club. You also , and you , and you. It's on the record he told players to find new clubs. Now just think for one minute if that happens to you while under contract. Think what it would make other contractors think ? Shit why do you have the power to suck me into your black hole LPM. Wish I could understand your way of thinking as I don't get it ? ?  ?

To be fair comparing what Stubbs started with and what  OK started with is like comparing lemons with grapes.  Its not been great  I will agree. Just hoping OK gets some fine wine from his grapes because Stubbs lemons left a sour taste in everyone's mouth.

Wrong on a number of points WS

So last point first. Thats a two pint problem, and if your up for it we'll palaver it over a few.

as regards a manager telling players they arent going to feature, so if you can get fixed up elsewhere, go for it. Thats the least you would expect from your manager. Honesty. And an option to move for game time, or take the wages.

To be fair, you believe in aliens, that the Twin Towers attack was government backed, that all scientists are in the pay of big business and part of a global conspiracy and that there is something in the rumours that our world leaders are all giant lizards so it's not surprising that you don't get how normal people think.

Nice to see your spelling has miraculously fixed itself. Are you sober tonight?
