And “ Messi-esque” were two of the descriptions. It was indeed a good goal. A very good goal but what about the defending ? This is the second tier of English football with players getting tens of thousands of pounds a week and yet defending like a Boys brigade team ?! My experience was there was always some big bastard at the back with 4 days stubble on his chin who would always go right through anyone who showed the slightest bit of skill - and I was playing for the school on the next pitch!!!
