(he doesn't understand English) I wonder what is in place ("translators" wise) to make sure the communications on the park are clear. When I played abroad there were a team of people who not only taught me their language, but got me up to speed with the on the on the park calls. We don't need any communications crossed wires

Not perfect but I'm sure he'll pick it up. Hand gestures work in any language

Never could play football....although I was asked to go for a trial with Dunfermline when Jock Stein was manager. I didn't go. Told the scout I was useless. His answer was that he had seen me play against the local Junior Team and that I was big, strong and would clearly run through brick walls if asked. Mind you, Dunfetmline Rugby Club - then a leading club also ask me to play when I left school but I said no. I had played Rugby. Preferred Athletics. You didn't get paid for them then so I turned down coaching specialising as a hammer thrower. Ian Black took the offer up instead and won medals at the Commonwealth Games. I know from speaking with other posters that there is a wealth of experience in different areas. What connects us is our love of Things St Mirren. But we can be hard on each other sometimes. djchapsticks
Quite impressed with his debut yesterday. Looked for the most part calm and assured in possession. Also seems to have a really good eye for a pass for a centre half. Only hairy moments were a backwards header that he nearly missed and a mad overhead kick style clearance that he got away with but other than that, he didn't appear to put a foot wrong. Unlucky in their box with header in second half.

He looks really good all round, and Bairdy played solid along with him too - They both need protection from the midfield too though. New LB would also help. aldo_j
Interesting to see he has M. Popescu on the back of his shirt. Another Popescu to sign? Aye, completely unfounded....
