Isle Of Bute Saint
Received a letter from the bank saying myself and wife will be issued with new debt cards saying there was a breach of data at ticketmaster. My mate got the same letter so he phoned the bank. They told him the breach of data at ticketmaster runs into 10's of thousands. The digital age lacks proper security how many times have we heard about data breaches from the health service to the Pentagon.

I wonder if the banks were waiting to see whether fraud would cost more than replacing the cards. I am not sure you can ever design a 100% guaranteed secure banking system. More worryingly, the entire system hangs on the fact that people cannot factorise large prime numbers easily and quickly. When someone works out how to do that the entire system is finished overnight. Edited January 16, 2019 by oaksoft
Bud the Baker
Quote It’s unclear how many RBS and NatWest customers have experienced fraud as a result of the Ticketmaster breach, although card details from other Magecart breaches at BA and Newegg were spotted for sale on dark web sites just a week later. chalky1
These breeches happen all the time, it's normal procedure to tell the customer and issue a new card. Just a pain if they cancel your card and you have to wait until the new one arrives. Most customers will be okay.

Naughty, I see you didn't quote me entirely where he agrees with myself and not you. You backed the wrong horse. It happens. We move on.
