1968 Citroen no idea what kind,  only had 2 gears working 1st and 4th when i bought it for £50.  Then had to scrap it a few days later when the front wheel fell off

Reminds me of my younger sons first car where a rear wheel came off and overtook him as he slowed.

I had a few company cars, first car I owned was a Ford Orion Ghia i. As quick as the Escort XR3i but much, much more comfortable.

Ford Orions were popular Private Hire Cars in the early 1990's. I nearly bought one, but didnae.

I remember sitting in it outside Shuttles at closing time waiting for my girlfriend and her pal when some random drunk guy jumped in the back claiming this was definitely his taxi. Tried explaining it wasn't and ended up having to physically pull him out the back of the car and escort him across the street

Serious question, How can so many of yous remember there car reg numbers from so long ago....

Right now I've 2 cars work/family and I couldn't tell you any of them without having to look....

You always remember your first.

Actually I can remember my first two.

Gets hazy after that.

Now I dont know my own mobile number or the numbers of any of the cars in the driveway. Wouldnt recognise my own childrens' cars if they drove past me tooting their horns.

I remember the year of my first few cars but not the full reg.  2nd car was a 1966 MK 11 Ford Cortina lasted about 3mth before falling apart. 3rd was a 1971 MK 1 Ford Capri 1600 GT (what a car )  Yer man Callum Gillhooley  (ex mechanic) fitted a wheel bearing to that car for me free of charge, or did i forget to pay him  i wonder if he remembers it ??

My first car was a blue Austin A35, first registered in 1958. It was 8 years old when I bought it.  Reg NHS 365 which was quite appropriate as I spent all of my working life in the NHS.  Sturdy wee car with a starting handle which was great in cold weather.

I used to get a lift to work in an A35.

Great wee car.
