Merged: All The Oran Kearney Threads

All this talk of commuting is pish.
It’s clear that Rafa will have a bigger budget with us as Mike Ashley is a tight c**t, that was our big selling point. As for Kearney, it’s an opportunity in the EPL to make his name, and a cheap option for tight c**t Ashley. Both clubs agreed as we are on good terms due to their loaning of Paul Dummett and our ability to turn Dummett into a fantastic player.
Lets be honest, I’m sure my version of events is just as true as most of the other versions out there
This. Coupled with the promise of pushing to be back where we belong - top four.

Now - suppose OK wanted to break his 3 year contract and go to Coleraine then We would be due compensation

where did you pick up that OK was planning this.  He'd be daft and even if he was that daft his legal advice would go against it

Bottom line is that he currently has one job at saints and a job offer at school.  He doesn't have to sign up at Coleraine as his future is assured

The next move from OK might well be to announce that he intends to leave saints in September and resume his teaching career.  The club either accept that and start looking for another manager or they agree a deal for him to move on and he is then free to also resume his part-time football career.  If saints need to put any conditions on where he might go then they would be paying for that privilege.

Why would he want to do that? He has stated he was prepared to carry on whilst this dispute was sorted, the club banned him from Ralston effectively terminating his employment. He's feckin quids in, as are Coleraine, and possibly Alloa again!

Folk convinced that GLS is desperate for Gus to take over, and that this has been a long con to get him into the job, are missing the very obvious point that Scott could have appointed him as manager last summer. Or again slightly later last summer. Or in late 2016.

Seems weird that he'd feel the need to get him into the job via the back door when the front door has been so readily and frequently available.
