Jack Ross done a good job for St Mirren & that’s what matters

He was perfectly entitled to take a ‘bigger’ job & show ambition, it didn’t quite pan out.

The Mickey Mouse cup isn’t important in the grand scheme of things emoji3.png

The Premiership is less important.

We can never win the sectarian and corrupt league.

No point whatsoever.

Exactly mate. Jack got a chance at a bigger club and wages no club outside the OF could offer. For whatever reason it hasn't worked out in line with what clearly Sunderland (a basket case) wanted. The problem is that managers just don't get time and I have no doubts the club was in a bigger mess than Jack found out on assuming the role.  A lot of clubs raise their game against a so-called bigger club and it's a tough league to get out of.  It's a shame he wasn't given more time as I think he will still go to a bigger club one day.

Some laughing at someone getting sacked is rather sad.

For f**k's sake Shull. Used to enjoy reading your ramblings. Have had you on ignore for a while now and just dipped in to see if anything has changed. You're still coming out with exactly the same old shite you've been babbling on about for ages

LET'S ALL LAUGH AT ROSS AND ROCKY, THE VILLAGE IDIOT.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
Ross is loaded now but still a cnut for his St Mirren disgrace.

Cardigan wearing fud, come on back up road with your tail between your legs and start begging every club for a job!

Another alias methinks. Don't think he will be begging anyone. You clearly have a gripe against JR. Bigger and better managers have failed - Jose, Strachan, Moyes, Lambert etc

Alias, alias , alias u are obsessed..who cares if people have ten names...none of ur business...think hexwent begging to any team in Enhland that woild take him..

You write alias three times yet think me obsessed?  Again, you have a personal dislike for JR.  Sunderland approached him and not the other way around.  He did a great job for our club and for that we should be grateful.  Any decent manager will quickly move from our club to bigger clubs who pay more.

Jack Ross had very little intention of managing us in the premiership and was applying for jobs without the board's knowledge. St Mirren gave him permission to talk to Barnsley and Ipswich but only found out that Jack had held talks with Sunderland when the local press were announcing him as their next manager.

  • 3 weeks later...

Cheat Ross still stinking the place out even after he has deservedly been given the boot.

We should have sacked him.

Unfortunately, our Board were complicit in the absolute disgrace at the time.

They shamed St Mirren Football Club and fecked the St Mirren supporters.

No need to start a new thread as one exists. Personally I think he did a good job for us and I expected him to move on to a bigger club. His timing wasn’t good as far as the club was concerned and that has sullied his reputation with the fans. Since then he has had ups and downs as a manager and has a tough job in his hands at Dundee United. Like Hibs and Sunderland they have a trigger happy owner.

Who would be a manger?

After the cup failure, SR given hell on here about his poor summer signings, now a few weeks later, he is a GOD with everybody saying what wonderful signing he made.

On paper, JR looks to have strengthened his team over the summer.  They surprised everybody last season, I wouldn't right them off just yet.

A lot depends on if he gets the time.  SR did, but that may be becasue we can't afford to sack him.

Going to be an interesting season outside of the OF.

100%.

A League Cup exit and Robbo was being offered to Well.

Now he’s back in the fold.

Those of us that have watched St.Mirren for decades unsurprised by this stunning memory loss.
