This isn’t an actual movie, but a music video from Rammstein’s song Links 2-3-4 where ants protect their nest from three beetles and come out victorious. Cracking video. Good song too. The song was made to negate claims of them being right wing, the lyrics “Da schlägt es links” meaning “It (heart) beats to the left.”

No winners..............................just the usual losers. Yesterday we indeed did have Men In Black, the offbeat sci-fi comedy from 1997. Starring the unlikely (but inspired) pairing of Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones, it tells of a secret government agency (the titular MiB) based in Manhattan who monitor the activities of the island’s extra-terrestrial refugees. An alien bug arrives on Earth and our two heroes have to stop it from destroying the planet. The image shows the Zap-Em cockroach emblem made up of various items seen in the movie. Think this depict's the scene where he tell's the black guy to bite the kerb, gruesome but a brilliant film.. Well done sir, well done indeed. Well done Scrappy, today’s answer is American History X starring two Edwards, Norton and Furlong. The powerful story of two white brothers (Derek and Danny Vinyard) in Los Angeles who drift into neo-Nazism and gang rivalry with devastating consequences to them and their families. The image shows the aftermath of Derek Vinyard’s “curb stomp” execution of a local black gang member who had been caught prowling at his home. Brutal and shocking scene, watch the attached clip with caution!

No winners again.....................seems this is too difficult for most forum users. The Green Mile, directed by Frank Darabont from a story by Stephen King. The story of a team of death row prison guards and their very special charges, one of whom (John Coffey) has an extraordinary gift. The image shows the wet sponge that has to be used for electric chair executions to better conduct the electricity to the brain. It is later used to sadistic effect (in a dry condition) by guard Percy Wetmore against a prisoner who mocked him. The green background colour was also a subtle clue. faraway saint
23 hours ago, faraway saint said: Monday movie.................. Well done Cornwall, I knew someone would get it right. Today’s answer is Walt Disney’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs from 1937, the earliest animated feature film by him. Sorry not any of the pishy remakes, the original and best. Cast out by her evil mother (The Queen) for being the fairest of them all, Snow White finds and befriends 7 dwarfs in the woods. However she is unwittingly poisoned into a deathly sleep by the Queen (disguised as an old woman) and the dwarfs put her in a glass coffin until she is awoken from her slumber by the kiss of a handsome prince. The image shows the poisoned apple the Queen gives to Snow White. The apple core is a love heart and the faces of Snow White and the handsome Prince are looking in from the sides. The image you see is an everlasting gobstopper from the 1971 classic Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory starring the late Gene Wilder and a bunch of annoying child stars. Again I’m picking the original and not the crap remake with Johnny Depp. Taken from the book by Roald Dahl (who wrote the movie screenplay but subsequently disowned the film when another writer made changes) it tells the story of poor kid Charlie Bucket who finds the last golden ticket allowing him entry to the famous factory and a tour by its reclusive owner. The gobstopper is in fact a loyalty test so that Wonka can find someone to take over the factory for him.

As well as winning the Best Picture Oscar, the 2000 film is single-handedly credited with reviving the sword/sandals genre and a rake of imitations have followed in its path including the likes of Troy, 300, etc. The image is taken from the end of the movie and shows the dying hand of Maximus as he trails it through the corn on his way to the afterlife (Elysium) where he will be reunited with his slain wife and son. Another outstanding soundtrack by Hans Zimmer & Lisa Gerrard.

Well done EAB The Hunt for Red October directed by action specialist John McTiernan and starring a young Alec Baldwin and Sean Connery. If you got it right you get one ping only! The story of a near silent Russian nuclear submarine, a defecting captain and the CIA analyst who figures out his plan and trys to help him is a great 90’s Cold War thriller (even though the Cold War had already ended). The image is self explanatory but crucially shows the Russian for Red October at the bottom We shail into hishtory!
