Bud the Baker
The two closest to me now charge, both are at convenience stores, which I've already given a miss on a coupla occasioms to avoid paying the fee so it has already changed my shopping habits. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-48107372
Isle Of Bute Saint
Bankers making money are a law into themself's. The City of London has it's own ( private ) council , Its own Police force , Its own mayor. A fulltime political person to lobby parliament. All paid for by bankers. The City set up such tax dodging as the Caymen Islands as we'll as other places. This the leagal gangsters who caused the financial crash that each and everyone of us are still paying for in cuts. Regarding cash machine's if a shop is making space for a cash machine I would think their is rent to the shopkeeper. The Royal bank has closed in Rothesay along with its cash machine. Royal back sent me a letter telling me if I wanted to bank late night money to do it in Largs obviously no idea the Isle Of Bute is a island. Im seriously considering moving to another bank maybe the Godfather has a community heart. Edited May 1, 2019 by Isle Of Bute Saint

chalky1
Most of them around me charge now as well. Hardly ever have money on me, normally just use contactless or Chip n Pin.

Can't remember the last time I used money to buy something. In fact even when I have enough cash in my pocket I will still use contactless to pay. I like the fact that I can walk into Asda, pick up milk or whatever, pay and get back in my car knowing I've touched as few things as possible where other manky bastards have been before me. I'm not even joking about that TBH. 🤣 Edited May 1, 2019 by oaksoft

It's unbelievable that people get paid quite large sums of money to do useless jobs like that. I lost count of how many photographs of coins were in that document. Eric Arthur Blair
Genuine "Bank" ATMs (RBS, BoS, TSB, Santander Nationwide etc...) will never charge for withdrawals unless there's a mass collusion to do so. The likes of Cashzone and Notemachine have had their commission cut by LINK and that's why they have imposed a minimum 95p charge per withdrawal. Fortunately, fortunately the pox, the plague and foul pestilence have been pretty much handled in this country. . Even in Asda as far as l know. .
