Wendy Saintss
I'd like to thank Danny Baker..................................it's highlighted what a walloper Sweep is, although I knew that some time ago. Yeh, but I bet you don’t think he was this big a walloper! FFS, he’s an even bigger walloper than you! [emoji8]

It appears he knows nothing unless he's told. I wonder why that is? Also seems narcissistic if he needs to be told how much he is loved and believed in, in order to do good deeds such as, you know, stop kids having cancer...... It seems according to believers, he could, just doesn't want to. Quite sadistic really?

There's no point asking religious people to think like this. The reason they fall for religion in the first place is because of one of two things. 1) They are brainwashed as kids when they are at their most vulnerable. OR 2) They use religion as a nice piece of stuffing to fill a void in their lives. We should make the first thing a criminal offence BTW but the second one is more interesting. Behind the smug exterior beats the heart of a very weak person. Someone terrified of not knowing why we are here and what the purpose of everything is. Don't get me wrong. This can be a pretty frightening thing to consider. Early con-men in societies across the world grasped this vulnerability in humans and used it to feather their own nest by concocting religion. Asking people to question religion is asking them to re-open that void in their lives. They are scared of that and that is why they defend their faith so violently. They are in essence subconsciously defending their lives. Without religion, people like Sweeper07 would have a massive hole in their lives. It's cowardice really but it's the infliction of that cowardice onto other people in the form of oppression, homophobia, and a whole series of other nasty nonsense which is the biggest problem. I have much less of an issue (none at all actually) with people privately believing in god if that comforts them.
