We have improved from 3,000 to 3,699 to 4,450 to 5351 Per Game Season on Season.  Can we add 650 per game and break the 6,000 Figure?

You have been a proclaimer of improving attendances all season. Though some mocked you for this - these results vindicate your positivity in this area.

I do expect higher crowds at home next season too... Though the play-offs and play-off final ties were exciting, and a bit stressful - the outcome has brought a euphoria that will still carry hope into next season. The big factor though is who we sign and if they stay fit and produce the goods . . .    :cheers

No concern about any detractors Sweepers - The signs were there for anyone who cared to read them and had an open mind IMO.

Agree with your comments and would only add that a great deal on season tickets might take us to 4,000.

6,000 might make us the 6th best-supported team in the Premiership with neither Dundee team in there.

Hopefully a few of the fans who turned up yesterday will hopefully come back on a more regular basis. With Additional crowds bring additional revenue which needs to be spent wisely. As mentioned here and on other threads, a few decent players in and we could be propelling ourselves up the league. More prize money for finishing higher up the league as well.

We are currently 30,000 behind Kilmarnock (with a smaller catchment area than us) and if we were to match their average attendance of 6,894, we would be close to "filling in the corners" which would enable us to accommodate bigger away supports without detriment to the home support and therefore increasing our income.

But then some of our support firmly believe we are not 'in that league' and that the Renfrewshire area does not have the potential to match the likes of Kilmarnock and Motherwell, or even Dundee in a bad year.

Does anyone know what the official attendance was given as yesterday? The match report on OS only says Full House!

its really pleasing to know that the two highest attendances at our stadium have not involved the OF,.

8023. Full house.

Is it not the case their average attendance is greater because they give behind the goals to Celtic and Rangers. It's an 18000 capacity, isn't it?

Did, no longer I believe, likewise Motherwell. Both have decided to no longer give the bigots more than 1 stand.

We need to be adventurous, not just in the playing sense, but in trying to attract greater investment in the club.

If we were able to attract say upwards of 6,000 next season as an average attendance then the present stadium is likely to be too small in the not too distant future.

However, at the moment we can only dream about housing the size of crowd that Kilmarnock attracted for their last game of the season against Sevco.

Also in our favour is our proximity to Paisley Airport and the M8 motorway in attracting youth internationals etc. and other events.

At the same time the local council should get its act together in surfacing (not resurfacing) footpaths in the surrounding area - at the moment they are a disgraceful  embarrassment and threat to public safety, not to mention the litter which is strewn about as it is everywhere else in the town.

Increased attendances come with a successful and entertaining team on the park. Am pleased we were able to keep attendances up this season despite how we fared for much of it but retaining those who turn up for the big and crucial matches requires a better product on the park. That's why Kilmarnock managed to boost figures

......and surely we can aspire to do a Kilmarnock in the not too distant future?

Think the most accurate way to work out a clubs attendance figures and size of the club would be to judge them on there 4 lowest league games, and then take a average, think you will find ours is maybe higher than Motherwell's,  Livingston's crowds were 1400 on average higher than Hamiltons  who's fan base is small. but is larger than Livingstons get my drift....

The problem with that is that it will inflate the size of the smaller club.

We have to take Livingston's away crowd into account twice but Livingston don't have another Livingston for their count.

We'd have say Livi, Hamilton, Motherwell and St Johnstone.

Livi would have Hamilton, Motherwell and St Johstone just like us but then their next team to include would be us and we bring loads of fans.

The only fair way to compare would be to include only the opponents we both face at home the same number of times. i.e. we ignore the 4 matches we play each other and one of the OF teams probably.
