Load of bollocks. That’s true and it would bother me if it was our only cup competition, but we also have the Scottish Cup as a free for all. Good to have differences in both competitions. Nothing unusual in the sponsors wanting the teams with the biggest drawing power to progress. It happens in almost every sport so nothing to make this bollox.
