It was a game at Millerston on the bottom pitch the one Feegie Utd U21s used

He scored a few and i remember saying to an auld guy who took the team that he was on a different level to the rest of us

He said he was signing for St Mirren

Next time i saw him he was playing right back

Do you think we could get a St Mirren 11 from Foxbar?

I can only think of:

Norrie, Gary Peebles and Danny McGill.

Graham Sinclair but i don't think he kicked a ball for us.

Davie Wylie,Lee Peacock,Paul McLaughlin, Jim McGill,Derek Anderson and Barry Smith played pro but not for us

Alex Beckett lived in Foxbar whilst playing for us, did Jason Naismith not live there also.

Beat me to it Buddiecat. Beckett lived in the “new hooses” up by Spencer Drive.

Gary Peebles went to Amochrie Primary and to Camphill for all of his secondary school years. He did indeed play up front as a boy and even when he signed for St. Mirren I’m pretty sure I remember his first few games for the reserves being up front.

Akso forgot about Paul McLaughlin or “squareheid” as he was known.
