Thought we played well today and for the most part , weren't really troubled. We now look very organised and have a look of team that won't lose many goals. If we can start taking our chances when they come along,  we could be in for a decent season.

If we are indeed looking at bringing in another striker,  I can see us possibly playing with 2 upfront in certain matches.

3 good performance in the league so far and far more positives than negatives.

Werent troubled? U having a laugh...we absolutely shat it today!

In the end Sevco created a couple of good chances.  One missed, one saved.  Got a goal from a free-kick after the referee missed a jersey pull by Defoe on our player.  Whereas we missed a sitter.  That close to winning.

Oh, and whatever you say Stretch/Shull not forgetting Shetland of course.

Christ almighty, any team can play 11 men in defence and make it hard to score against them.
This f**kin' acceptance of defeat before a ball is kicked is pissing me aff. emoji35.png

Defo..we accepted defeat before ball was kicked..regardless of how they scored we absolutely shat it today...once they scored we were f**ked!

Lots of positives about today. Once again we look well organised and understand one another. Allowed rangers very little opportunities and created the odd chance ourselves. Bit too deep at times especially second half leaving players often without an outback. Felt we struggled to change our tactics following the goal and it would have been worth more of a push for an equaliser. Having said that keeping the score to one might be important late on in the season. Next three game will tell us much more about what this team are capable of. Cannot wait

I don't think we wanted to defend as deeply as we did, but we had to for the simple reason they have better players than us all over the pitch.

Apart from our keeper, there is not 1 saint player that would walk into their team.

Both the bigots are miles better than us, but the gap between us and the rest of the league is not much IMHO and that will help us to

stay up.

Way too early to think that without any evidence to back it up unless you've seen/studied all the other teams?

By the end of September we'll have played 3 teams we hope to be above come the end of the season.

Fingers crossed we've picked up more points by that stage.

Can only think of 2 saves Hladky had to make of any note. So aye, weren't troubled.

We did sit a bit too deep for my liking, but still could easily have got a draw out of it.

It's not a guarantee we'd lose if we'd set out to try to win.

I can see why some teams set up the way we did, damage limitation, although I'm not a fan.

It's up to the manager, the way we played to day we were unlikely, although not impossible, to win.

We could just as easily lost 2 or 3 nil today, would that have been acceptable?

Hey ho, let's see how we get on the next 3 games, there's been little expectation the last 3.

You do love a bloody moan don't you

What a lot of garbage.
Next time we'll set up 3-4-3 and lose 5-0 but at least we'll get value for money, eh?

Defeatist attitude.

Realist attitude. We're not good enough to attack the Old Firm for 90 minutes - no team in the league is

Two big decisions in the game went against us today. We should have had a penalty first half and there should have been a free kick for us before Waters fouled Defoe for Rangers goal.

Another day one or both of them goes for us and we get something from the game.

For teams like us to get anything from games against the Old Firm we need to be well organised and have a bit of luck. Today we were organised, we just didn’t have that bit of luck.

Totally get what your saying TC but how many times do the OF get the decisions in there favour, once again we have been undone by poor refereeing, apologies if this has already been mentioned , just joined the debate

Never a penalty in a million years.

Goody's tactics in the last three games have been identical - sit back, invite the opposition into our half then quickly attack into a relatively empty opponents half when we gain possession. Worked well v Aberdeen but today the last bit did not work so well as the front three were slow to rush forward when we got possession so had little in the way of an out ball. But considering the players have only tried it in 3 games they hopefully should improve. Very good performance and unlucky not to take a point.

Am I the only one who thought the goalie could have done better at the goal? Thought we did ok but overly defensive. Mind if Morris had buried his sitter would have been delighted.

Don't know if he could have done more but the sun, undoubtedly, was problematic.
