The company for that's what St Mirren is and has been for most, if not all of it's existence, operates in a financial reality which now allows for little leeway. The once protective shields of the bank and moderately wealthy local businessmen are no longer there to bail out a club. Hardly surprising then, when faced with the choice of increasing revenue to be able to increase expenditure on players to be able to compete in the top division, caused the board to make what was a tough but pragmatic decision. Old ground the away stand was much bigger & they had a decent sized overflow. We did the same here regarding the overflow but it became an issue with the success of W7. We’re talking about the seating capacity design of the stands. Its factual that the old stadium allowed for us to give them way more tickets than this one does, without giving them the two stands that we do.
