Ayrshire Saints 4,782 Report post Posted January 11, 2020 I'm not sure Norwich have sent this boy to play out of position at LB. Yes he has done it before but he is primarily a CB. From what I gather Goody like Waters and I expect him to be 1st choice LB whether people like that or not. JG and Killie obviously see something in him. However, I am glad he is signed for them for another year when he goes back in the summer - I think we can do better and with the summer window, we will hopefully manage someone who is better all round . . . I would love it if Famewo got in at LB and proved to be more constructive going forwards and a better all round defender... then Waters can be a back up, instead of us giving a Killie player more experience and development - I know Famewo is not ours either, but he is not a player from a team that we are in direct competition with . . . To me he is steady (mostly) but unexciting otherwise . . .
djchapsticks 9,244 Report post Posted January 11, 2020 Famewo isn't going to play at LB unless in a pinch... he's a direct replacement of Mcloughlin in that he's our left sided centre half. Goodwin has already been on record as saying that Waters is staying as he didn't fancy further upsetting the left side of the defence even further with Famewo already in moving into that left side of centre half.
Cornwall_Saint 4,025 Report post Posted January 11, 2020 Famewo may well fill in the LB role against Kilmarnock in fairness.

Sweeper07 4,285 Report post Posted January 31, 2020 I don't want to drag up the recent past and the dreadful dealings that we have had to sort - so I would rather focus on this window which definitely seems to be much much better organised and managed - hopefully with the desired improvements that we seem to have been making to our squad. Money in for Paul McGinn, Erhahon, and maybes Mullen AND it looks like we were able to refuse money for Kirky. Players in - McCarthy ++ , Famewo +, McGrath ++ , Jakubiak + , Hodson ++ Urmisky (for the future hopefully) We did loss a good one in McLoughlin, but we seen to have that covered well, and of course Paul McGinn too - but Hodson can cover for FB's if required. The window is NOT closed YET > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Ayrshire Saints 4,782 Report post Posted January 31, 2020 Bar a wage saving there will be no money in for Erharon and I doubt he was one of the major wages at the club.
Tommy 3,693 Report post Posted January 31, 2020 My worry is the amount of loan players coming in. 3 of our back 4 are loans and with the keeper leaving at the end of the season, it will mean an other rebuilding job for next season. Hopefully any more signing will not be loans.

With Hladky going and Famewo & Waters on loan then we would need signings come the summer. The club believe that it’s the best time to cash in on P McGinn & Broadfoot. If we bring in like for like players at the end of the window, then they are more likely to be loans unfortunately! 12 minutes ago, Tommy said: My worry is the amount of loan players coming in. 3 of our back 4 are loans and with the keeper leaving at the end of the season, it will mean an other rebuilding job for next season. djchapsticks 9,244 Report post Posted January 31, 2020 This isn't a late move. We've been enquiring about him for at least the last 10 days. That we are still in for him at this late stage, suggests we still hold out hope that it can be done or we'd have moved on long before now.
