Scott & McPherson

Recommended Posts

We pushed out a manager that had one transfer market. He made us solid, hard to beat(and not Goodwin 11 men behind the ball hard to beat). He made Ethan look like a good player. Ethan now just posts on instagram like he's Pele. Musek didn't come back for a reason. We see now why. We'd of never got Mihai, he's now playing first team properly.Goodwin or McPherson paying for Morias is as bad or almost as bad as Heaton. But lets play Big Tony A every game, when we're not on the counter, just strange choices every game.

Will Goody be gone by January?
The club is being very poorly run. Recruiting Stubbs and sanctioning his abysmal signings massive payoffs, sacking Oran who is now a table topper, paying to bring back a permanently injured McAllister who looks in trouble, making a hash of panic signings to field a team at Easter Rd kicking families and kids out of their seats to accommodate Racist, sectarian thugs....
The list goes on. As long as we have this board, we will have these avoidable stupid decisions.

Lets sack the manager, that has worked SO well in the past.

The problem is not the manager, the problem isnt even LordLookAtMe

The problem is a lack of investment.  Mihai Popescu being an obvious example.  For 30 years now we have scraped the bargain basement, for 30 years our fans season ticket money has returned little, for 30 years we have merely survived and very rarely thrived.  30 years of underachievement. 30 years of our club exploiting the good will of the Paisley public, 30 years of failure.

We were outclassed yesterday and it is no wonder.  We were up against a team whom invests in itself and as such got what was desreved.

On that cheery note, Im away to the cenotaph

So much pish being spouted

Kearney had no intention in coming back in the summer

Way back in April this was the case as the stories coming across the water were coming through

It dragged on too long but that was down to money

This came from a manager in the same league he is in now

His words were "St Mirren got a raw deal in the media"

Saying that MacPherson should had done a better job in the summer whilst this dragged on

No surprise Colerine are doing well they were far better prepared than we were

Five managers in, who is the common denominator for our piss poor results..?

Oran gave us our pride back... and got hunted

Fourth season of the fan buyout and fourth season the club has progressed on the park. Who’s the common denominator?

A personal vendetta against SMISA & GLS. Powerless to change anything, comes out in these bitter posts.

Indeed.

It helps when you know who your manager for the season is going to be, about 4 months before it happens.

It hasn’t seemed to do us any favours considering the board were long planning for Goodwin before forcing Kearney out of the door.

The way things are going, this time next season we will be languishing back where we started in the Championship. This club is not progressing any more and hasn’t since Ross left, minus the brief Jan-May spell with Kearney.

And yet, by all accounts, the club were still going after OK's transfer targets, and then had to change tack super quickly to focus on Goodwin's targets.

We made no pre-contract signings, even after safety was guaranteed. That says to me we weren’t really chasing OK’s targets at all, as surely we’d have been able to snap up at lea at one or two before pre-season began?

That person won't answer questions to his false facts.

That person wouldn't put himself up for election, before getting succonded on to the SMISA committee.

That person resigned before he was mandatory required to be put up for election.

That to myself explains a lot about said person.

Cockless

You're a bitter wee soul.  Facts above that could be interpreted in a number of ways, mixed with opinion and without any mention of any of the hard work he put in personally to get SMISA's bid up and running and all of the other work done in committee.

There would be no BTB without people of that ilk.

You say more about yourself than anyone else could with this strange wee attack.

It is this board who Have Sacked the Manager...
They are on their Fifth manager, they are responsible.
And it is this board who refuse to Invest Anything....
But are happy to bleed smisa dry, even pushing them to drop the ring fence around their funds.
The buck stops and is never paid by them!

Simply not true. First season after promotion for practically any team (few exceptions), survival is the key. We did that. This season we’ve had a better start in the league than last season. We’re progressing year on year. Slow and steady.

Yes it’s hard right now & we need to improve but we don’t need to be pushing the panic buttons.

Just because we gained more points doesn’t necessarily mean we are better. It doesn’t stop the fact that we were bottom after the first round of games. There is no cannon fodder akin to that of ourselves, Accies and Dundee from last season. With Hibs and Hearts likely to pull away in the next few games, we will be left adrift. If we are lucky, the Fakes won’t get any better, and hopefully Accies or County can be kept down. But it doesn’t look like the same battle as last season, and as a result we need to be targeting 35+ points. If things don’t improve soon we aren’t going to be getting anywhere near that, and we haven’t got a Dundee this time around to bail us out.

Stop debating the past. Out current managerwill come good. Over the past few days I have been watching various wolves games. Santos job was under threat before Christmas last year. I can remember looking at him on the sideline and thinking I hope he can enjoy christmas. Now look at wolves in Europe and doing well and Santos has full backing of fans. So give Goody time

About a week before they had their massive fall out GLS and Kearney both gave interview to STV on the same day. If memory serves me correctly Kearney spoke about his top targets being Popescu, Muzek, Hodson and Dreyer and said he hoped we'd get at least some of them back again this season. None of them re-signed and we didn't make serious offers for any of them. We did however land Gordon Scott's top transfer target for this season... Kyle McAllister (who has barely contributed anything so far this season).

In their STV interviews there was nothing to suggest that there was any doubt Kearney would be in charge again this season.

What happened next?

Could it be that Kearney was told our budget was being cut and all his priority players to re-sign for this season were too expensive and he would have to rebuild the squad with the remnants of Jack Ross's squad and without most of the quality additions who made the difference to us from January to May last season (apologies to LJB for discussing a previous manager)... but not to worry Oran we are confident we can bring in McAllister on a 3 year deal!

Following on from Oran being sacked Goodwin's budget will have been further reduced to help pay off OK.

So let’s see how that pans out over the season, not push alarm bells in November. Something many saints fans were guilty of last season.

I am optimistic Goody’s team will come good & I think that’s what we need right now. Of course people’s own choice about how hey approach this though.
