Celtic away, get some money and get out of this cup as we've no chance of winning it.

League survival is what we should be concentrating on.

That's the spirit.  I reckon a cup run can breed confidence and could have a positive impact on league performances.

It can, do you know where we are in the league?

Are you saying we have a chance to win this competition?

Let me put it this way, of we go out early to Celtic or Morton you can bet anything you like this place will be overflowing with posts saying exactly what I've said, concentrate on the league.

We always have a chance of winning a cup , albeit slim.

As for our league position,  its similar to another 6 teams.

No we don't have a chance of winning this cup, the league cup is a better chance and that's only if we're playing well.

You do know you have to score goals to win cups?

As for the other teams, irrelevant.

Why is the league cup a better opportunity?

We've scored 4 in our last 2.

You made the point about the other teams and they're irrelevant?

Every season in the SPL is league survival.

Cup runs make memories. The cup is our best chance of success and I would easily take relegation if we won the cup. It’s also the only chance we really have of ever making a return to Europe.

We don’t expect to win the cups, but it’s always something we should be aiming for. No one expected us to take the League Cup in 2013, but we did it.

You misunderstand me my friend.

Yes the cups are our best chance but to do well in the cups we need better players.

To attract better players we need money, to increase our revenue, you get where I'm going here.

This season, like last, we need to stay up.

As for the league cup win, we were an established top league team then, with the team we have now do you REALLY think we can win the Scottish cup?,

I'll take a point for that one.

f**king hell. I am at the point of slitting my own wrists reading your posts. :fire2

Enough with the misery and just enjoy the unpredictable nature of sport. Anyone can beat anyone in a one-off game.

Here's our record against non-league opposition in the past 33 years (don't think I've missed any...?):

0-0 East Kilbride (home, 2019)
2-2 Spartans (home, 2018)
7-1 Lothian Thistle (away, 2017)
5-1 Spartans (home, 2016)
3-0 Spartans (home, 2006)
0-0 Spartans (away, 2006)
3-0 Caledonian (home, 1987)

2-1 v East Kilbride 2017

Many said the same in 2012/2013, beating Aberdeen, Celtic and Hearts was some achievement.
Do I believe we can win it? There’s always a chance but I wouldn’t put my mortgage on it.

That team we had that year was a million miles away from what we have right now.

Of course theirs a chance, same as a snowballs chance in that hot place.
