So you think they may have signed a contract that meant the club could terminate them, and not pay up their contract?
Ffs you're making an arse of yourself defending piss poor posts lol

You’ve shown countless times you don’t understand the points you’re making. The club isn’t in as weak a position as you think.

If a player wants the contract paid up in full, technically the club can stop the player playing for any other club for the duration of the contract (same for managers taking other jobs). Generally there’s negotiation and compromise from both sides. ‘We’ll pay X amount & you’re free to play football elsewhere’

You are making the mistake of thinking reasonable logic will sway his negative ramblings. He does not read other peoples arguments and take anything in. Instead he either continues on the same lines or takes a tangent once he is shown to be a clown...

But thanks anyway - it is entertaining showing him up . . .  :cheers

These accounts tell you very little.

What we should be asking is things like ,total agents fees paid out ,total Directors expenses, 4 largest suppliers names and amount paid etc

We need detail to understand how the clubs costs are made up apart from players wages.

Is hospitality income up or down, ditto club 1877 ,these things tell us more than the accounts required by law.

Only my opinion but you are making reasonable points - The accounts  tell us the important stuff that the law requires - like we ended in profit rather than racking up debts and are a going concern etc.  These are legal requirements for a reason.  No business runs without some "mistakes or unwise spending" but it is the level of this that always needs to be monitored. (learning from mistakes is what directors need to do to improve the business going forward)

Overall it looks like the directors are backing the management team as much as they can but still managing to stay debt free - most of us would think that this is giving our management team and our football team the best that they could reasonably ask for though. Okay, you can argue that they made a bad appointment in Stubbs and that cost the club etc. , but any manager or player could turn out as a bad deal - we can demand perfection, but no football club manages that...

IF we were coining it in a lot more money, there could be the case for squirrelling some away for projects or recovery if we sacked a manager or were heading towards relegation etc.

If previous accounts are anything to go by under GLS:-

1. There will be no agent fees

2. Director expenses, considering none other than our chief exec. take any wages, should be a reasonable sum as well.

The items you ask about like hospitality income etc.  I suspect the club would be happy to let fans know about - likely though that they are in the same ballpark as last year. I doubt the BOD are hiding terrible information from us though...

Motherwell I read today had the third lowest wage bill in the league last season, and have FIFTEEN times more profit than us...
Not troubling you say?
Seems to this observer Motherwell as an example, are run FIFTEEN times better than us.

My god those accounts are a real laundry list of shit figures!
Turnover up by only a third despite promotion
But expenses up by fifty percent!!!

Wages up Again by an eye watering fifty percent!

Carrying financial assets down 70%
But liabilities up 30%!
And debtors up 160k

If it wasn't for cough, cough.. Youth income going up (guessing that's the council's payment to run street stuff?)
Then the REAL drop in profit would have been even larger...

Add to that as Oaky highlights the shocking operating loss and you are in real Sevco territory.

Going forward it will deteriorate as Oran & co payoffs are not included (after 31/5/19) theres no big transfer fee coming in, and whatever they spaffed on McAllister hits the balance sheet.
And if our fortunes on the pitch don't improve the clamour to blame and bag the manager as gates fall will just accelerate that negative trend.

The laughable chairman statement where he tries to say how well he has done by producing an 11k profit out of a 30% turnover increase and extra 300k player sales is a bit like the tories insisting there will be 50k more nurses if we don't detract the 19k already employed!

Still the directors got a bit more so its "kushty" as Del Boy would say.
Read above... look what's left of the £1.5 million from McGinn. And Oran and the player payoffs arent even in there.
Did we get value for a 50% hike in wage bill? Are we 50% more successful?
If Hladky doesn't move in January what do you think the next accounts will look like?

Hard to tell what the next accounts will look like at this stage. A lot can happen between now and then.

You think we are better run than Motherwell? Have we had more success in the top flight?
Are you talking about 1 year, 10 years 100 years about who is better run ?
Not much different in honours won but our ground is still fairly new compared the the state of the Well main stand that is going to cost them plenty soon.
Don't ever recall us going bust either

Based on those accounts clearly we are.

Yet they bring in more gate money, more prize money and still lose around 500k more than us. They F up assuming they were getting millions from Celtic for 1 of their players last season.

That's what's called moving the goalposts.  You claimed that they had made 15 times more profit than us and that made them 15 times better run.  Now that it's shown that they did not make 15 times more profit than us you now claim that it is success in the top flight that makes them better run than us (I did notice that you dropped the 15 times part).  Can you jut give us all a list of things that make a club better run than another so that we know for future reference. :D

Well since we hadn't been conned out of £1 million like the Accies, I assume he will agree we are a better run club than them

Based on those accounts clearly we are.
They made £1.7m in their last accounts and since then their gate receipts have halved, they've lost £1.4m broadcast money, and are down almost £600k in UEFA prize money ffs... whereas in our accounts all these revenue streams went up by dint of promotion!
Still think ours look better?

We are comparing the two sets of accounts to May 19. Both clubs spent that period in the same division so not sure what promotion has to do with it. In that period we are clearly the better run club. It's there in black and white, irrefutable but that doesn't fit your agenda so you do your usual and twist and spin away.

Near £4m loss for Dundee United in the championship. They are set for at least 1 more year of losses as they make their way back to their "rightful place"

We might have "issues" that can be debated ad nauseum on here but thank f**k were not those Billy big baws.

I don’t think it is there in black and white.

Motherwell made a profit of £1.7 million the previous year.

They decided to spend some of that cash boosting their budget last year.

That seems reasonable.

They also have a highly valued asset about to return from injury.

St Mirren on the other hand just wasted around £1 million due to making an arse of managerial appointments.

Eh ! That makes their accounts even worse then. If they "boosted" (presumably re-invested) a chunk of their previous years profit and subsequently posted a loss then that's more money lost Accounts don't lie !

Ok try it this way round...
If our gate receipts halved...
We lost £600k European money
And £1.7 million broadcast money...
Would we have fared better?
That's around £3million quid they are down, but only showing a £600k loss...

Whereas all our income streams went up... but we only recorded 10k more profit and a huge operating loss... think about it?

That's the funniest thing yet... huge operating loss on the back of multiple pay offs of bungled management team and player compo deals.

Completely eradicated £1.5m transfer fee, increased gate, broadcast and competition money.... but somehow the hard of thinking equate that to "Living within our means".. lol

I'd like to say you couldnae make it up... but apparently the board and their ass lickers have.
