Like B.Dylan they did their own (personally written) “modern” songs that we couldnae join in the choruses of… It was interesting, but it wisnae “folk”… saw B Connolly down at the Rockfield and recognised him as a v. Ordinary punter from the Scotia bar. Again - wisnae impressed by his lack of songs and plenitude of patter. ianmac Posted December 3, 2022 Report Share Posted December 3, 2022 (edited) I remember going to the folk club run by Danny Kyle at the Rockfield. I remember in those days the bar closed at 10.00pm, but the acts went on a bit longer. People bought a couple of screwtops just before the bar closed and hid them for them to magically re-appear once the bar staff had gone.
