We will beat Killie - and there will be smiles on Saints faces going into the New Year !   :happyclapper

We ought to be more optimistic about our future fixtures, Killie are shit right now and even our trip to Rangers might offer hope for some optimism.

I genuinely believe that we are currently playing considerably better than Hamilton (who are treading water). Hamilton's only positive result recently was a victory against a woeful, drowning, Hearts team that still haven't hit rock bottom. By the end of January 2020 it is conceivable that we could have clear daylight between ourselves and those two bottom-feeders.

COYS.

Aye, Hamilton are treading water and we've had a decent run (5 points from the last 4 games) yet we're a massive 1 point above them.

Hearts are in trouble and luckily we only play them another twice before the end of the season as they've taken 4 points from 6 against us.

By the end of January we could have clear daylight..................

Saints play Rangers and Aberdeen.

Hamilton play Hibs & Livingston

Hearts play Ross County & Rangers.

You should leave off the Christmas bevvy.

Massive game this one. With The Rangers next, we really have to try and get the win.

Nothing to fear 3-1 Saints.

They have not scored a single goal in their last 5 games, we should really be going all out for 3 points.

These are the games the manager earns his wages, set the team up to win the game, convince them we CAN win the game and set about them from the first whistle.

A good start and the support will have something to shout about.

PERSPECTIVE - how are teams currently doing in this league - Last 6 games  ?

Current form table :-

                                                                                                     P            W              D            L                   F              A             GD           Pts

5 Livingston 6 2 3 1 12 6 6 9

6 St Johnstone 6 2 3 1 3 5 -2 9
DLdWdW
7 Hibernian 6 2 1 3 8 9 -1 7
DLWLLW
8 Ross County 6 2 0 4 6 13 -7 6
LLWWLL
9 St Mirren 6 1 2 3 6 10 -4 5
LLWDdL
10 Hamilton 6 1 1 4 3 6 -3 4
dLLLWL
11 Kilmarnock 6 0 2 4 2 8 -6 2
DdLLLL
12 Hearts 6 0 1 5 2 9 -7 1
DLLLLL

If Killie beat us they will have 4 points from their last 6 games and we will have 5. If we beat them we will have 8 points and they will have 1..

We clearly need more wins to break away from the bottom two and catch others above us. Killie game is a very real chance for this ! It is a golden opportunity. 🏆

Our 2 draws against the Fakes and Liv don't look so bad when you see how they are doing against other teams and we could definitely have beaten the Fakes...

Killie 1 v 3 St. Mirren      Magennis, McLoughlin and Obika (or Cooke) to score for us . . .     C  O  Y  S

Two wins in succession make a great difference to league positions. We might well have taken all three points against St J, I agree. The injury time loss to RC was a sore one and led to them getting clear of us in the league. Saw that Well scored in added time to beat them. This league is tight.

If neither Broadfoot or Mackenzie are fit, as looks likely, who plays in defence as Waters is ineligible to play?

McGinn to left back and the young academy boy in the middle again beside McLaughlin, with Flynn at right back?

Or does the gaffer have an ace up his sleeve?

Definitely looking like an all out defend by attacking assault on their goal, kinda game!

For me, while Cammy has looked good in midfield, the only logical move is for him to move to left back with McGinn coming into midfield. I can't see Glover getting a start again soon, as against Livi he didn't look ready for Premiership football.

Forgot about Watters ineligibility...
That makes a hard shift tougher. I guess he'll slot McAllister into holding midfield.. lol
If we get anything out of this with so many missing/playing out of position it will be an achievement. Roll on January so we can sign more perennially injured players lol

I would agree with Cammy playing full back.

Personally I would play Morias wide right and have Foley and Magennis central with Durmus wide left. Up front I'd start with Cooke and Mullen.
